aero3113 Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 I found it just type in 1941 convertible. What is with that rusty master cylinder though? Quote
Andydodge Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 I saw it yesterday on ebay, have offered my left gonad but haven't heard back from the seller...........lol.......but I was also wondering about some things on the car, not trying to be a nitpicker but there is a few bolts coming thru the firewall in the engine bay pics that show lovely rusted ends, how hard would it have been to get some chromed dome nuts to cover these..... just have to wonder what the car is really like......but is does look nice......andyd Quote
claybill Posted March 6, 2009 Author Report Posted March 6, 2009 i cant get any motor pics on it...yet. it has a dodge v8 auto. ebay......................1941 plymouth convertible it will come up! bill Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 Here is the photo of the engine. The dealer states in one paragraph that it is a Plymouth then in another that it is a Pontiac. pflaming Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Possibly the most beautiful car I've ever seen. Even at the price given, it might hold its value longer than any new car and would be a lot more fun to drive. Frankie, I guess some good things do come out of Texas! Quote
claybill Posted March 7, 2009 Author Report Posted March 7, 2009 I'll Sell My 60 Impala Beauty!!! To Get Some Dough For That 41 Convert...that And My Harley Would Make It $$$. Bill Quote
RobertKB Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Nice looking car alright but I would rather have this nice original coupe for 1/4 the money. http://cgi.ebay.ca/Plymouth_W0QQitemZ110356688457QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item110356688457&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A3%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 PS - Claybill, you have an addiction, old Plymouth convertibles! Plymouthy Adams Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 I would not in no way call that car original, unmolested maybe......LOSE THEM UGLY RED WHEELS..bleeeek Quote
Frank Elder Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 That style rim came stock on my 74 charger. Quote
steveplym Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Very nice looking Plymouth convertible. Here's the link to the auction. If I had 20k to burn it would be a nice car to have. I do agree with Tim though, the wheels gotta go. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Plymouth-Convertible-1941-Plymouth-Special-Deluxe-restored-Show-Condition_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem280317587548QQitemZ280317587548QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 I see there's a reserve on the black coupe. Wonder what that is??? Looks to be in A1 shape. Just add driver. Quote
pflaming Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 Do love the coupe! Would be a lot of fun, a little difficult to get in the back seat, at least at my age and the age of my friends. Trucks are different, to me they are not 'social' vehicals, they are for two friends or Papa and a couple of grandchildren. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 don't you just love the word restored used in the vehicle's description...masterfully crafted yes...restored..not even close.. Quote
james curl Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Tim don't you know that to the general public an old car with new paint and interior is a "Restored" car, never mind all the door and window rubber is shot. Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 I wonder if that guy would take my Hawk for the convert:cool: mmm I would look tantilizing in that thang:rolleyes: The Chicks would go wild....for the car. I like it, everything about it. Quote
Roadkingcoupe Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 The red 1941 plymouth Vert in the eBay auction looks a lot like a car that came out of ONTARIO Canada and was built just outside of the town of Barrie. A friend of mine did the body work and restored the steering wheel. It is a great looking car and was sold to someone in Texas around 4 years ago. A lot of money was spent on the car and it looks it. Excellent paint and body! I do remember that the car has (had) the original front end suspension. Not ideal for a V8 powered car. Still a nice looking car. I think there is 60-70 thousand Canadian $'s (pesos) in that car! Quote
