RobertKB Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 Thanks for posting. A very interesting old boat. I hope whoever buys it does a sympathetic "resurrection" and leaves it basically as is. There are categories for cars like this that are unrestored, including at Pebble Beach. Only difficulty would be the leather on the seats. Most is gone or in extremely bad shape. I suppose there are ways to deal with that. It would be great to see the old girl being driven on the road again. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 definitely has patina a lot of cars came and went in that era Quote

I think the seller wanted a few thousand more than it was really worth. There was some rust in the rear floor and the drive train hadnt been touched. Maybe next time... Pete Quote
greg g Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 The BH truck was based on an Olsmobile chassis and was built by one of the well know customisera of the day, like Barris or Winfield or one of that group. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 Do you think he'll take a check? I've got plenty of checks, so I must have plenty of money. Or maybe I'll have to brake my BIG bill. Think he'll have change? Quote
