Merle Coggins Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Bob, are those buildings really that crooked, or do you just not hold your camera straight? Merle Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Here is a photo of mine at the Big Bear Lake, Fun Run. Dennis:cool: Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Those buildings don't appear that crooked in person! Maybe I just need to get a better angle on them. Quote
Young Ed Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 And just for fun an actual vintage picture. Taken shortly after Dad bought the car infront of my grandma's house. Quote
Powerhouse Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 that's an easy way to do it...besides photoshop... Quote
Normspeed Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 I notice that most of our favorite pics are of the car and the scenery but not the driver or passengers, with some exceptions. Maybe because when we fix em up the focal point is the car. But the authentic old photos are real time capsules, with the people of the era in there. Who among us wouldn't like to have a Rocket Muff Special? Quote
BloodyKnuckles Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 I thought it was pretty cool also; BloodyKnuckles BTW...Jim Yergin, of all the ones I have seen so far (here and on the HAMB) your's has been the most authentic. Awesome! Quote
Jim Yergin Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Thank you for your compliment BloodyKnuckles. Jim Yergin Quote
H Suhling Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Greg Sorry, missed that one it went right over my head. Harvey Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Yep, that looks just like the "old days".......take off the hubcaps, roll down all the windows, and unzip the rear window. I never get around to unzipping the rear window......just seems like a little too much bother 'cause then ya gotta zip it back up. Quote
Young Ed Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Dad told me one of the first things he did was remove the hubcaps and paint the wheels black. Notice the different tires. Can't say for sure but it kinda looks like the backs might be snow tires. Quote
Don Coatney Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Who among us wouldn't like to have a Rocket Muff Special? I think I know that girl in the black pants. I might have married her once or twice but I am not sure. Is her name Lisa? Quote
IronMike Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 The black and white photos look sweet...... I really like black and white, so much that when my wife and I got married we paid extra for it...... it costs to be on the cutting edge of technology.....lol Quote
Frank Elder Posted January 20, 2009 Author Report Posted January 20, 2009 Vintage vintage, I had to see what an older pic would do, my apologies to Ed and his Dad:D Quote
Normspeed Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 I think I know that girl in the black pants. I might have married her once or twice but I am not sure. Is her name Lisa? Could be, Don. I probably stole that photo from you. Quote
