Can Anybody Identify This Part??

I took this hose off the front end of my '47 Desoto S-11 Custom sedan about a year ago, and for them life of me I cannot remember where it goes.

It has a fitting at one end like a brake hose where it hooks onto the bracket. But the other end throws me. It's brass and within that hole in the center is another tiny hole inside for fluid to pass through.

And the bracket??

Any hints?

looks like a brake hose from a more modern car with disc brakes. The groved end for the clip that attaches it to the steel line and th square fitting to allow fluid to go to he caliper fitting.

Don,

Why did you need the bracket on the brake hose? I'm assuming to keep the hose from rubbing on something. However, I did not get one with my kit and there is no rubbing. I have the GM banjo brake hose also. I just mounted it like the original hose was mounted.

When we visited Don and Lisa back after Thanksgiving, Don offered me a drink. Remembering that photo, I took a beer...........

You can tell is a GM hose as it obviously failed early.....

Thanks guys for the input. I would also think it's a brake hose. I disassembled my front brakes, and the other hose is of the straight hose variety with a male screw-in thread on one end for the cylinder and the female fitting on the other end that attaches to the bracket mounted to the frame.

It could have been in the trunk with some other junk. There was a Corvette part in there as well. I really should have taken some photos.

Thing is, I cannot seem to find this part in a 1947 Desoto illustrated parts book.
