GeorgeLeonard Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I just bought a '50 Plymouth four door for parts to fix up my '49. But now it looks as if the '50 may be in better shape than the '49 so Ill be looking to fix it up to drive instead. (Sound familiar to anybody?) Maybe we can learn together. Welcome to the forum Quote
greg g Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Welcome, a bit more informationn would be nice. You can use the user control panel to add your car info and general loacation. It helps answer questions if we know where you are and what you're working on with out having to jump to your profile page. Any way, my wife and I did the reupholstery job in our car ( a business coupe with only one seat) with some fabric from the clearence bin at our local fabric store. Took about 9 yards to do the seat, door panels and I did the package shelf. We got some pattern paper from the fabric place and basically copied the stock panels adding the amount necessary for the seam allowance. And then cut the new fabric and sewed up. The new stuff was applied like seat covers and attached with staples and bull rings. The door panels were a bit tricky where we made and attached the new vinyl kick panels ( hot glue gun) but all in all not a difficult job. Quote
