Jim Yergin Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 I had fun this weekend driving my newly driveable 1941 P12 Wagon. Thought I would share my recent pictures. Jim Yergin Quote
greg g Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Looks great!! Hows is it driving??? What are those fog lights, they look a bit unusual. Quote
maurice wade Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 I was in Tulsa for the showing of the "time vault Plymouth" . They had a car show, and in the show was a wagon like yours. I just stood their and looked at it, and looked at it, and looked at it. I think the most beautiful part of the whole car is the head lights. Very nice car. Maurice Quote
Jim Yergin Posted November 10, 2008 Author Report Posted November 10, 2008 Looks great!! Hows is it driving??? What are those fog lights, they look a bit unusual. Greg, It is driving great. The fog lights were a gift from a friend. They are Mopar originals that were optional in 1941. Jim Yergin Quote
greg g Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Are they bi colored or is that a relfection off the bumper? If bi colored what do they look like lighted? Quote
Jim Yergin Posted November 10, 2008 Author Report Posted November 10, 2008 Are they bi colored or is that a relfection off the bumper? If bi colored what do they look like lighted? Greg, They are yellow on the top and the bottom with a clear band in the middle. I will try and get a picture of them lighted. Jim Yergin Quote

Brendan D25 Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Jim, your car looks great. Isn't it a good feeling when you get to drive your car after all the time and work. Nice job on the pictures, I especially like the first one in front of the two story house. Brendan. Quote
RobertKB Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Congratulations on a wonderful project. It seems like you are working or have worked the bugs out that you were having. It's now time to really enjoy yourself driving it. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Happy to hear the car is now running as it should. Looks great. Just have to get past all those tribulations of stuff that messes up at first. Quote
John Reddie Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Hey Jim, The '41 looks real nice, actually like new. Here is one of it's siblings. John R. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y202/plymguy/41woodie.jpg?t=1226338513 Quote
1940plymouth Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 The photo that John Reddie posted, reminded me of the Sullivan Richardson story about driving a new '41 Plymouth 4dr sedan from Detroit to Cape Horn in late '40 and '41. AWESOME reading Quote
Andydodge Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Jim, it looks absolutely great.......pleased to see another 41 Plymouth on the road..........have a question you might be able to answer for me, what sort of screws are used on your 41 Plymouth to hold the front parking light bezels onto the headlight surround and fender?........I ask because on my 41 Coupe there are very small, say 1/8th straight sloted screws on either side of the parking light bezel at its front and a larger, say 3/16th screw at the rear of the parking light bezel that just goes thru a hole in the bezel with a nut underneath the fender, both front 2 screws and the single rear screw look very amateurish, not "factory" at all........what do you have on your 41 plymouth?........thanks, andyd Quote
Jim Yergin Posted November 11, 2008 Author Report Posted November 11, 2008 Andy, I wil check and let you know. Jim Yergin Quote
Normspeed Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Great car Jim. It's so neat that you saved it. I hope it gives you many miles of driving fun. Quote

Mine have oval phillips heads. Hope this helps. Jim Yergin Quote
David Maxwell Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 Beavis and Butthead would be rolling with that one lol.... Quote
Jim Yergin Posted November 14, 2008 Author Report Posted November 14, 2008 David, In my world of wooden station wagons you can get signs and stickers that Beavis and Buthead would love, like: "Get your woodie serviced here." or "It is hard to walk when you have a woodie." Strange how simple straight-forward words can be given different meanings. Jim Yergin Quote
greg g Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 So a trip in the AM for coffee and, would be putting morning wood to good use??? Quote
