Possible rescue

If it ever stops raining today I am heading out to look at a 50' pilothouse that is sitting in a guys treebelt. They tell me when they parked it there was not much wrong with it but I guess that was a while ago. He is taking it to the salvage yard if I don't take it. So I will most likely rescue it unless it is completely shot. I will take pictures and post tonight if I get over there.

Question, does anyone know for parts if this 50' will be somewhat compatible with my 48' as far as body parts, drive train, etc....?

If they are the same size you can't hardly tell them apart. 48 to 50 are interchangeable . Hope this is what you wanted to now. Carl

Well, I just got back with my very first 'parts truck'! Seems to be in pretty good condition considering it was in a tree grove completely grown over.

I was told it is a 1950, but will check out the door tag once I get it off the trailer to see what it says.

Hopefully it compliments my 48' I have been working on.

What is the story with the shift on the steering column? Never seen that before.

Just decoded the VIN number and found that it is actually a 1952.

That looks like a genuine Fulton sun visor. Name should be on that round

silver disc on the mounting bracket. They do bring quite a few bucks on

e-pay.

I told my wife we can have his and her Pilothouse's. She just rolled her eyes...

hi Fernando..i like your 52..i have one also but the low side bed...and no corner windows like yours....I like your side mirrors..wish i could find some for mine..I only have a clip on mirror on the drivers side door...

do you know if the mirrors are original?
