bkahler Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Sorry for the post but I'm trying to figure out how to market my wife's 1963 Dodge Custom 880 4 door. Its definitely in restoreable condition. It has a 383 big block with pushbutton transmission. Its reasonably solid, all glass is intact and we have spare glass and a lot of spare interior components. Not really sure we want to go the eBay route at this point. We're moving from Arkansas to Kentucky and need to move it as soon as we can. I would imagine she would let it go for $500 or less. Any thoughts on the best place to post this? Thanks! Brad Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Craigslist for your locale..another mover is Round-Up magazine.. Quote
greg g Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 If its running and driving and looks decent, should be worth at least a grand. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 too bad it is not a wagon..them puppies are sharp.. Quote
bkahler Posted September 11, 2008 Author Report Posted September 11, 2008 Craigs List might be the easiest choice for us. Our move to Kentucky happened a lot sooner than we had planned so we're kind of scrambling to unload things. I thought I had it traded for a bunch of work on one of our motorhomes but the guy's wife didn't want "no old vehicle parked in the driveway" . Thanks! Brad Quote
Young Ed Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Too bad its so far. I always liked the 62 chyrslers and I believe this shares the same basic shell. Quote

Young Ed Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Are you asking if I think the price seems fair or if I'm willing to travel? $500 seems like a great price but I dont have the means to get the car here. Quote

I was curious whether the price was keeping you from having more of an interest. I wish I had the time to haul it for you but with our move to Kentucky every spare minute is used up. We would likely drop the price to something less than $500 if you could figure out how to get it to MN. Brad Quote
Young Ed Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 If anyone is curious it should look like this. The cove in the rear 1/4 is the same as a 62 Chrysler. Quote
Young Ed Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Oops looks like that one may be a 62. Quote
62rebelP23 Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 closer and i'd be glad to pay 500. i liked the 880's from when i was a kid. i bought a '63 Chrysler 300 4dr hardtop when i got out of the Navy in '88 for 350 bucks. drove it till the wheels fell off literally. should have kept it in better shape, it was a beauty of a car.
