  1. Hey that's great! Do they mail the award or did Mark pick it up?
  2. Mark A's dual carb setup 1941 Dodge Town Sedan
  3. Caught Greg drying off Mark A's car. Bob and Wanda's car Greg and my Dad visiting
  4. Well I got back from Springfield yesterday late afternoon. 3 hour trip up and 3 hour trip back. No issues with the car, it ran great. It did start to get pretty warm in the car about the last 40 miles or so. Especially when that sun peeked out of the clouds. We only got rained on before the show on Saturday, so all in all a great weekend. I got to meet Greg G and his wife Kathy, Bob and Wanda VanBushirk, Mark A, and others. All of them are great people and made the trip well worth it. I got several pictures and will post them here for all of you to enjoy. It is a pleasure to meet members of the forum in person. Everyone I have met off of here are great people to be around. Always fun to compare notes and old mopar stories. There were about 75-80 cars there on Saturday, plenty of eye candy to enjoy. Friday night parking lot party. For the outcasts only.
  5. If it came with the kit from Langdon, I would give him a call. I bet he can get you a replacement. Otherwise I may need a picture.
  6. Not sure which clip you mean. I put my round coil in the original coils position, and used a clip on the top terminal that connects two wires. Maybe that's what you mean?
  7. I should be there around that time. I don't have any grub, but ready to enjoy the meets and greet. 4:30 that is
  8. Anybody else making the trip to Springfield? I hope to be there by 5 tomorrow if all goes as planned.
  9. Yeah you have limited options on your phone.
  10. One week away. Hope it isn't as hot next weekend as it is right now. I went out to replace the front vent window seals in the Plymouth and probably lost 5lbs in sweat. Gotta give it a bath tomorrow if it doesn't rain.
  11. Yes Wycliffe, ky has the same alluring odor.
  12. So what are the rest of you bringing? I've got a small weber charcoal grille to do brats and hot dogs, but not sure if the hotel would frown on that or not.
  13. Well I went ahead and pre-registered for the meet. I figured if I'm driving up there might as well participate and stay a while. So what shall I bring for the Friday night parking lot party?
  14. Sounds to me like the solenoid is not engaging. If you read the borg warner manual, direct drive is pretty much how you explained it with the od cable pushed in and not in overdrive. Hope you get it figured out.
  15. Well I've made plans to head up there Friday after lunch, if the work schedule permits. The plan is to bring the Plymouth and enjoy the Friday night festivities in the parking lot. Then come back as a spectator on Saturday and enjoy the show. Probably head home after lunch on Saturday. Just booked a hotel room close by. Looking forward to meeting Mark and Greg on Friday. Anybody else making the trip?
  16. I'm tentatively planning on it. Not sure about Friday night, but planning on coming up there on Saturday. So I've never done a WPC meet before. If I do drive the Plymouth up there for Friday night and the Saturday show, what does it cost just to show on Saturday? I'm not interested in judging or anything, just hanging out and displaying for a while.

    Head liner

I bought my headliner from WLS and it fit great. Lot easier to install than I originally thought.
  18. If you read that link it says the one posted is manufactured by New Port. They are out of St. Louis, both my cars have new port wiper motors in them and they fit great and work great.
  19. Had the dodge out and about today. Decided that with gas already up to $2.29, it was time to fill it up. Hope it doesn't go as high as they are predicting. Nevertheless it was a beautiful day for a drive.
  20. 1987-1990 Dakota, have to move the spring perches, other than that it's a pretty easy swap. Those year Dakotas have the 5 lug bolt pattern. Swapped a 3.55 posi in my Plymouth.
  21. I checked into the red's headers and I wasn't sure if I would like the look vs. the split manifold. I'm happy with the split manifold, but those headers would have been a lot easier as I had the toughest time getting a good seal between the exhaust and intake manifold. I did get good at taking the manifolds off and back on though.
  22. Here's some pics of my set up. Split manifold and Offenhauser intake with dual b&b's.
  23. Look up rusty hope for the split manifold. Old daddy on this forum. He did mine and did a great job.
  24. I'm tentatively planning on attending the WPC event in Springfield, IL. Figured there might be a few other forum members heading there. I'd love to head out east and cruise with you guys, but probably not in the budget for this year.
