  1. The word "education" is becoming an oxymoron.
  2. remembrance is dying with the older generation. I saw a video yesterday. Someone asked a bunch of collage kids what happened on Sept 11 2001. Very few knew.
  3. we are now up to 2888 aftershocks. a 4.8 and 4.1 today.
  4. I like them. Very nice.
  5. Received an answer from DCM on the dimensions of the clutch pedal pivot bushing that they sell. "Hi, the BR-563 is 1.830" long and the closed dimensions are ( has a cut through it) 13/16 od and 3/4 id. Let me know if you have any other questions". Same OD and ID as the one for my coupe. Ordered. https://dcmclassics.com/suspension-parts/304-br-563-brake-clutch-pedal-bushing.html?search_query=BR-563&results=1&
  6. not the same number. Thanks.
  7. When folks ask how the roads up here are I ask them if they know what a bobblehead is. That's me while driving. Huge frost heaves. Of course the potholes disappear in the winter after a few snows and scrapings. lol
  8. I just found this. Would someone with a truck parts manual from 36-53 look up the clutch pedal bushing part number please? If I'm lucky the might be the same as the one for my coupe. https://dcmclassics.com/suspension-parts/304-br-563-brake-clutch-pedal-bushing.html
  9. I saw something about the Nazi's giving Henry a medal. https://rarehistoricalphotos.com/henry-ford-grand-cross-1938/

  11. A show of great restraint PA. lol
  12. That truck looks very Alaskan.
  13. at .826 outside diameter and the hole in the pedal is suppose to be .8115 your's must have been worn. Mine still measures .815.
  14. So you slotted it and spread it a bit? No slop when installed?
  15. The one I need is part # 871998
  16. I just found this. Would someone with a truck parts manual from 36-53 look up the clutch pedal bushing part number please? If I'm lucky the might be the same. https://dcmclassics.com/suspension-parts/304-br-563-brake-clutch-pedal-bushing.html I've emailed them asking for dimensions.
  17. Finally pulled the clutch pedal out of the coupe to replace the bushing. Pedal shaft hole measures from .815. Pivot shaft measures .75. I've found lots of bushings with the inside measurement but they all are .9 or greater outside. Can a machinist turn it to proper diameter, should the pedal hole be drilled or does anyone know where one of the correct size can be found? Did a thread search and found someone looking for the same but no joy.
  18. Just tried to go to Andy's website. Comes up with Welcome to our new online store. Then when you click on anything it says site unavailable. lol
  19. found them here. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GI52OJ6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  20. that car had just got on an off ramp from the main highway. Where it's sitting is halfway through the ramp.
  21. Glad that she's safe BDO.
  22. the one pictured is the same as the other 9 in both front fenders of the 55 Pontiac. I have 3 that the heads are rusted so bad as to not be hex anymore. I believe lag screws have a sharper point to dig into wood. Whereas this is blunted for metal.
  23. It's for a 55 Pontiac. Original fastener for battery tray to inner fender.
