  1. Just finished.
  2. thinking hard on it. I love those early to mid 50's Caddy HT's.
  3. I still have one to finish and my daughter's 53 GMC waiting. It would be awhile although the 53 shouldn't take too long.
  4. He wants $3000 for it. Has all the trim that isn't on it as well. I'm thinking about it hard as that isn't a bad price.
  5. Seriously considering buying it.
  6. When I went and removed the 55 Pontiac wagon parts I saw this sitting in the back of the shop. Supposedly rebuilt engine. Rockers are toast I haven't been able to look any closer. Going back up tomorrow and will check the floors and trunk.
  7. Hope it's good karma. Also scored the driveshaft as the one that I have is 2" too long. It's for a Star Chief not the Chieftain.
  8. Scored on a parts car near my home today. Only 30 miles from home. Got the windshield, left rear quarter window, the long one, found the spare wheel cover with all the trim, couldn't even find one of those on line. Also got some small parts. Will save big time on the glass.
  9. Brakes do help a lot. Will also make you use ear protection religiously.
  10. My home internet is down and they can't fix it for a week. So I won't be on much at all for awhile.
  11. That's what happens when you have too much money and time on your hands.
  12. I installed the Offy dual manifold on mine. Wish I'd left it single carb. Big hassle.
  13. 800 is a bit fine if it's going to receive paint. Won't give a good bite for the paint.
  14. I'd be willing to bet no one else has one. Except for the dual rear tires I kind of like it.
  15. Save your money. Guided moose hunts up here run from $5000 to $20000.
  16. Helps if I add the photos.
  17. I'm reinstalling the front sheet metal getting ready to paint. Have to align the hood but am having problems with the hood latch. It goes into the hole/slot perfectly and the latch and safety catch function well. The problem is when shut and I lift on the hood only it will raise in front 1.5" until the safety catch catches. What keeps the hood down snug? A couple of photos.
  18. Marc I agree but have long ago stopped trying to correct people's English. They get mad and they keep doing it anyway so it's not worth the effort.
  19. Finally fixed the leak in the rebuilt trans so with that done the body went on. Now to get all the panels on and get it painted.
  20. I agree with Sam. Just install a shoulder harness seatbelt.
