  1. I'd have to say it's a tie. Can't think of another car I've been in that was any cheaper, not even the Isetta that I sat in for a few minutes. lol
  2. ridden in the 2CV while living in the UK for 9 years. A neighbor bought a used Yugo. Both were POS.
  3. I believe the Yugo might have been cheaper made.
  4. The first start always sounds the best. Good work Nick.
  5. I doubt very much that many ants fell for it.
  6. I wonder how many fell for this.
  7. Not worried about it bunching up. Just really didn't want a seam half way up the door opening.
  8. I'd rather have the blue but a bright white will do. 2nd photo is what the "dark blue" from SMS looks like on the seat.
  9. I had them send me a sample and it's the same medium blue as everyone else sells.
  10. We don't have a piece 144" in length. So that means there has to be a seam where it's joined together. Don't wish to do that but if that's what it takes to match we might have to.
  11. I looked at them all. None are dark blue except the ones that are slip on for the 60's and up.
  12. Sorry PA but I've searched Ebay and the web for hours. I have found no dark blue that was darker than the one you posted.
  13. that one on ebay is a medium blue. Won't match my seats.
  14. can't find it on ebay. thanks I'll check them out.
  15. Anyone know of a source for dark blue or white windlace? My upholstery can't find any of either color.
  16. Wow. Looks great.
  17. Well tried to install the windshield and found out that they sent the wrong one. Sent a 2 door ht. It won't fit my wagon.
  18. sharp enough that the starter will really jump around unless held down.
  19. putting it back together is the fun part. Looks pretty good.
  20. Strange. Don C is the one that told me to put it on manifold. I had it on a carb and he explained why should change it. Works fine so I'll leave it
  21. Nick I was told to connect it to the manifold not one of my carbs. Was told that the manifold vacuum was the better source but I don't really know why. Mine functions with no problems.
  22. Many things cost more in shipping to get here than the part cost. Have to be creative for sure.
  23. Had to have a new windshield shipped up from the lower 48. Cheapest that I could find was $430 shipping. Someone told me about a business 80 miles away that brings their own barges filled with stuff up from Seattle. Got free shipping to Seattle and it cost $45 to ship it up to Homer. A 160 mile round trip and I'll have it in hand.
  24. My daughter bought her first vehicle at a flea market. 39 Chevy PU that we restored together. She was 15 and we didn't go there to buy truck. lol
