  1. That looks good. I installed electric PS on mine works great and wasn’t a major pain. My steering box is wore out I need to find a replacement box. Any one with experience on replacement steering boxes..

  3. I sure your aware that the rods are off set just a reminder..

Many post here have stated and my personal experience was when we pulled out the freeze plugs the block was packed solid with build up.My temp was fine but then when I took the engine apart I got three coffee cups of debris out of it. If it's never been clean out you would be supprise what in there. Just my opinion not fact,, good luck
  5. Using the universal joint off the Saturn having a sleeve to connect to the steering shaft . And a sleeve from the steeringwheel to the top of the unit
  6. I am in the process of installing the electric ps in my 48 truck. Just started yesterday by cutting the colum . Making my mounting brackets today. Went with the Saturn unit.

  8. After the fact I put a runz on it I am guessing I need a new guage . That's why I was confused the needle still moves to full so can the guage be bad and the needle still move?
  9. Trying to determine if I got two bad guages . On both with the wire coming from keyswitch to the guage conected I get no juice on the other post with my test light but the guage does go to full.Can the needle move and the guage still be bad? Thanks again

  11. Iam in the middle of the gas guage dance i have read all the post but couldnf find my answerd. I've converted to 12 v the wire from the switch witch side of the guage does it go to tall post or short. Thanks for any help

  18. Paul, glad you got it started I grab a used electric fuel pump out of my parts box and it lasted about 30 minutes. I guessing if the dry out they don't last. Congrats

Paul,just going to throw this out there I did a complete engine rebuild went to start it and it sounded like yours does back firing I studied the plug wires verses the rotor I pulled the plug wires and rotated them one hole to the left and it started in a nano second and purrs. So I pulled the timing cover off to check my cam ,crank timing and it was correct .don't know but it purrs..Drifter
  20. Paul I bought the 20 sheet hush kit mat for $ 245.00 did the whole cab and some in the door. A little over $10.00 a sheet..

  22. Thanks Merle before I started cutting wanted a second opinion. I can't get it started after a complete engine rebuild so I'll step away from the motor and get on the tie rods. Thanks again , Cheers
  23. With Charlie's brake kit did you shorten the tie rods? Got my kit on and there's 1 1/2 inches toe in looks like the ends need to be trim 3/4 inch I got new ball joint from Auto Zone. Your front end looks good with Sid's axel I use his on a 55 Chevy good stuff.
