  1. The 15 inch tires on 1/2 tons became an option in 1951 with the B-3-B models.
  2. The rear brakes were the same (11 in brakes) but the 3/4 tons did have 11 in brakes on the front compared to 10 in brakes on the 1/2 tons. I see that according to Bunn there was a tire option "A" for 18 in tires on 1/2 tons. I have never heard any one discuss such an option on this forum.
  3. The model B 1/2 tons had 16 in. wheels. The model C 3/4 tons had 15 in. wheels. Other than 200 lb. heavier ratings on the axles and heavier rear springs (more leaves) that was the only difference. I think the reason for the forum is to disperse information so in my opinion it would be difficult to ask too many questions.
  4. Vermont Highway Department? I must not know where over yonder is.
  5. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/39-47Dodge Here is the forum
  6. AMS Obsolete part no.642680 .795 in diameter king pins set $99.50 Jan. 2014 PO Box 621 shipping $10.00 13459 fairmount Hwy SE Faimmount GA 30139 The above address, parts number and price is where I finally found them. Thanks to someone on this forum.
  7. Low side beds were identical to the pre'48 trucks and were used in 1950-1953. I am assuming like other posts that the crease does not show due to the poorer quality picture, The indentions on the lower part of the cab and the front of the box look very dodge.
  8. From your picture alone there is no way do determine what year of a dodge pilothouse it is. It can be narrowed down to between 1950-1953. From the angle of your picture these years would look identical. Unless the box had been changed it could not be 1948-1949 because the low side boxes were not available.
  9. The 1936 Dodge grill was unique to that year. 1937 and 1938 grills were similar but not the same.
  10. I would like to hear the story on why the cut out of the center off the D on the tailgate.
  11. All the differences have been mentioned. Gauges are actually the same, just in different locations. I have a 51 cab on my project, but I cut the dash out an placed the B2B dash back in.
  12. I like the headlighst on the 41-47 better sitting out on the fenders better.
  13. make sure you use the drop down box and are searching the forums you want. There are options as to what is being searched. If you make no choice the only thing searched is the topic you are reading.
  14. Roberts Motor Parts and Vintage Power Wagon are both good places to start
  15. Looks good appears as if even runs
  16. I am thinking you have an entire dodge parts store of NOS parts.
  17. Cool project! Would you be offended if I asked what you had to give for it? If I ever ran across one it would be fun to have.
  18. It would appear that Paul's hood ornament was never on a Dodge made pickup of any year. So where could it have came from ?
  19. Your posts are an inspiration to me, even if I a sometimes puzzled by your intentions.
  20. I have often wondered. How big a place is it?
