  1. We were able to finally get to a couple of places I've been wanted to go. This is the Auburn Cord Duesenberg museum in Auburn, Indiana. The light was so bright coming in the that the rich colors of the cars aren't accurately represented in the photos, but the art deco showroom was beautiful and made for the perfect environment for these works of automotive art. If you haven't been there, it's well worth the trip. https://plus.google.com/photos/107394537078274784684/albums/6073723086593009073
  2. But, they were made for walkin'
  3. They were thinking about a Corvette competitor. It never was built, but pretty cool looking nonetheless. http://autos.yahoo.com/photos/tbt-1968-dodge-charger-iii-concept-slideshow/
  4. Here is the URL in case you want to watch it on YouTube directly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rt07pLebQwQ
  5. Seeing some of these un-findable tools makes me wish I had Jay's setup (and $$) to scan and make new ones.
  6. Great pics! Thanks for sharing. I hated to miss Mopar country this year. As we get closer to the show next year, we can make sure everyone knows where and when to meet up. Mopar country seems like a good fit and they have plenty of room. I'll check out the frog follies. That's not too far from home.
  7. That is a great looking car. The satin finish is really compliments the curves of the fat fender cars, particularly when you see them in person. These cars are so big already, a glass shine can make it harder to notice the details sometimes. By the time we got to this section of cars, momma and daughter had seen enough for the day, so I was taking pics while walking, and not getting the time I wanted to stop and smell the roses or really chat. That's why I'll be there next year in my RV for 4 days. I'll be able to find everyone that will be there next year. We should do a P15-D24 Forum meet up one evening and get everyone together on one place. Get the cars together and take some group pics.
  8. Always glad to share. I learned they have full hookup RV sites there, so I booked one for next year. It's just too much to see in one day, so I plan on 4 days next year.
  9. Here are some photos from the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville KY. They were expecting about 11,000 cars this year. It looked like that many to me. I took pics until my battery ran out. https://plus.google.com/photos/107394537078274784684/albums/6042782329444491793?authkey=CPntxbTH-MOFhQE I saw quite a few Plymouths, Dodges, Studebakers, Packards and even an Edsel Ranchero (Edchero) named "Double Lemon".
  10. That looks great! I'm going to try to get an RV spot there even though I live pretty close to the event, it would be nice to hang out there for a few days.
  11. Welcome. That is a really nice car. I can't wait until mine is that drivable.
  12. Anyone coming to the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville KY July 31st-August 3rd? It's a great show. http://p15-d24.com/topic/36379-street-rod-nationals-july-31st-august-3rd/ Here are some pictures from last year's event. https://plus.google.com/photos/107394537078274784684/albums/5907998200310413809
  13. These are interesting. They look like the old whitewall rings. http://steelieringz.com/index.html
  14. I thought you guys would enjoy this. http://blog.caranddriver.com/lemons-utah-day-one-volvo-740-vw-golf-porsche-914-leading-classes/ The most shocking development of the day, however, was what happened with the Grumpy Cat Racing 1950 Dodge pickup. This truck, which not long ago was a long-dead abandoned heap in Denver, ran all day long without a single problem (unless you count a loose throttle cable, which took all of 45 seconds to fix) and racked up 149 very slow but glorious laps. This sort of performance from a first-time LeMons racer of this vintage is utterly unprecedented in the history of the series, and we believe that the Chrysler flathead six-cylinder engine, based on a 1929 design and built well into the 1970s, must be considered the most reliable engine in human history as a result of the Grumpy Cat Dodge’s amazing day at Miller Motorsports Park.
  15. Great pics!
  16. You can't go wrong with this package.
  17. It looks like a great deal for the money. Congrats!
  18. I was looking on Bernbaum's site and noticed they just added disc brake conversion kits for 37-62 Mopars. http://www.oldmoparts.com/parts-service-brakes.aspx
  19. Nice rocker panel. Is it a local source or online?
  20. The hackers are looking for platforms for several uses. Here are three very basic ways they use them. They can get sensitive information directly from the hacked site such as passwords, because most people use the same email address/ password for everything, including banking and some online purchasing where they already have your credit card on file. They use hacked sites to park stolen data on someone else's server. They use the hacked servers to do an orchestrated distributed denial of service attack (DDoS) on a target. This attack uses a collection of hacked servers to attack a target server that may have critical business, financial, government or military information. Some target servers that get overloaded from requests in a DDoS and they sometimes give up or allow the hacker to penetrate to get sensitive information out of them. There are thousands of other uses, but these should give you an idea of why innocent sites get hacked.
  21. This guy shows how he repaired a dented piece of stainless trim. Part 1: http://youtu.be/8gw4gGHJ4iE Part 2: http://youtu.be/drV1iuH7AYs Part 3: http://youtu.be/MlTOg4tb_V8
  22. Welcome! +1 for Pics please. Include that Sunbeam too.
  23. I use Google plus for photos. You install it on your phone and set it to auto upload when on your home wireless network. Take pictures with the phone and it will upload them automatically to your Google plus account. Then all you have to do on your computer is go to Google plus photos, right click on the photo and copy the URL of the pic and add it to the image URL in the forum.
  24. Beautiful car. I wish they had kept that style of hood ornament on the later models. The plastic nose on the '48 doesn't compete with that one.
  25. KBS has a good engine paint chip page. http://www.kbs-coatings.com/engine-paint.html
