  1. Opa Opa IPA - yep tasty brew if you're an IPA appreciator. They've got a few styles on the shelf here locally, been selling it for a year now so I guess the locals like it as well. The KEG system is definitley a great idea if you home brew.... So much easier than bottling. But beware, the calories add up fast when you have no bottles to count what you drank! Keep watching that auction - I bet the price drops. Just a thought but maybe you're buddy Mark that came by should look at this for his sons mopar?..
  2. Lovely exhaust manifold on this beast. Would make an easy dual setup. If one had the manpower... I bet the scrap value of the windings in the genset would easier pay for the engine.... Hey Moose here's a chance to stuff a few more horses in that A of yours! http://tinyurl.com/c2lz32s
  3. My first long cruise after replacing my head gasket was two weeks ago. I traveled 436 miles round trip and averaged 16.7 miles per gallon. (and added a half quart of oil). The car is bone stock as delivered from the factory, with just under 68,000 miles on the odo.
  4. I managed to find half a vintage p15 windshield on craigslist for $5 locally. The passenger side in my car is cracked from the prior owners over exhuberant tightening of the visor center bar. Not quite brave enought to tackle this project tyet, but when I do I am windering if I should consider replacing the whole gasket and resetting both sides or if its just a pull the glass and replace type of job? What really bums me out about this is the fact that the broken side has a 1958 inspection sticker on it as well as a very old car club sticker from the 70's. Neither will be salvageable or transferable.
  5. Love to learn how to do this... Feel like giving a lesson or two? My car could use this.
  6. Saw this brochure for sale on Ebay last night... I wonder if any of the crowd that monitors this forum has come across this equipment in a car they bought or have seen.... Love to know if anyone has a scan of this document to share. I'm curious as to how the mechanism worked. Here's the link to the Ebay auction... http://www.ebay.com/itm/290712469230?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619
  7. If you're going with the long block - you should check out this deal on ebay.... (I'm not the seller, just happened to find it in my searching) http://tinyurl.com/7h4vggb
  8. and maybe even a D24!
  9. A little welding and fabrication, some pizza, a few beers, one dizzy tested and diagnosed and some good conversation, all while looking looking over the fender of quite a few fine looking vehicles. Thanks for hosting Moose. A fine gathering of enthusiasts. It's a Ford, but hey we all can't have a mopar... Moose's awesome "hy-brid", Boy does that thing haul a$$. Mooses "work in progress" This is what happens when a P15 mates with a Model A Was a gorgeous day for it.
  10. Not sure Pekka, they came with the car when I bought it. But the fit is ok, and the clamp device at the center works really well.
  11. Found these skirts on Ebay just now - this is the same thing that I have on my car. The seller wants $275 for the pair. http://tinyurl.com/c284oqq
  12. Make sure you tell the new owner to visit us often! and best of luck with your next car!
  13. Hey Dutch... Open the garage and you might have us come visit you! But honestly if you've got nothing going on, come have a beer and stare at mopar engines with us. Might even get your fingers dirty.
  14. Three cars?! I can barely keep up with one. Have you added a "meep-meep" horn to compliment the rear on the p15 yet?
  15. Its a pierce arrow.
  16. Built on a truck chasis, a beautiful rig. Even saw the "T" prefix stamped into the block.
  17. Can you name the car that's under that gorgeous hood ornament?
  18. a little something for everyone at Rhinebeck, but here's a few of the 40's mopars on the field.
  19. Here's a few highlights of the show.
  20. As always great to see you all. Already looking forward to the next trip. Drive out and back was uneventful, car performed to spec both ways. Wracked up 435.2 miles on the plymouth. Left Bolton at 6a, picked up my co-pilot in Palmer Mass at 7:10a, arrived at the fairgrounds at 9:40a, a little later than planned. But Greg saved a space and we got some good conversation in between walking the field. Got to meet Bobs son, wife and baby as well as Bob's friend Rich W, whose got a beautiful '50? baby blue convertible. Rich kept arriving with arm-loads of parts. I just had no clue how large this venue was, next time I will plan more time to walk the vendors. Greg and I walked the field and found quite a few beautiful Mopars and even a few other brands worth photographing. Highlight of the day was the '30ish Bugatti that drove in and parked not too far from us. I feel honored we got to inhale the smokey fumes from that car. Took quite a few pictures, will post shortly. Thanks to Greg I was able to make it out before 4pm. After being denied exit from the 2 gates we tried I found a cool spot in the shade to think about my options and shake off the anger that was developing.. I intend to send a note to the organizers of the event with my thoughts on the entrapment that I expirienced. Thankfully the rhinebeck organizer nazi's we encountered at the two other gates didn't find the gate that Greg advised and we where back on the road by 3p. The day ended too soon, but we had 3.5 hours to drive and I have tons of prep for business trip to Columbus tomorrow. So Rhinebeck and I parted ways at the "fork in the road".
  21. Washed, waxed, greased, oil topped up, gassed up, and ready to go. Beer and water in the cooler and the coffee maker is set for 5:30am. ^am departure should get me there around 9am. Save me a spot in the shade. -mark
  22. I saw this and immediately thought of how cool the trailer would have been if he kept going with butt ends of this wreck.
  23. Great looking place! Congrats
