  2. I have a P12 just like this one.....this one is so clean and original....can someone tell why they go so cheap...I figure they should go for double what they are selling for....no way would I let mine go for that price.....come on Chevy and Ford guys open your minds and wallets.....
  3. The impeller vanes look like they are worn down as well.....this will cause "slippage" thus no water flow
  4. I would say you have found it....
  5. Good on you.....now I am thinking about fixing the cracks on my P12....have been quoted $600.00 for the repair....just might do it myself

  9. Is that the block "after" boring and piston fitting? If so , could you not find a shop to boil the block to clean it up.....when I did my 218 last winter I ported it out to the gasket and gave it a little bit of a polish....I read on one of these forums that there is no need to get to fancy as you may go backwards or have no effect at all.
  10. Cpt Fred.....it is a stock cast iron head with a dressup set of fins. Under each head bolt is a flat washer with 3/4" flat bar welded to the washers. It is then chrome plated...
  11. The fella I bought this one from had tears in his eyes when I drove it away.....it is a nice ride
  12. I agree with all the comments. As a Canadian I felt bad for out US brothers, and sisters. It all started with Rosanne Barr.....yuch....Our CFL , the other game, had the same half time entertainment for the Grey Cup a few years ago. I stopped watching halftime shows. Yesterday I was invited out to The Legion to take in the game....the only ones who enjoyed the music were the bobble heads sitting on the dashboards of cars parked in the parking lot......NFL is famous for good halftime shows and commercials. But everything has to come to an end...lets hope it does not....sorry, didn't mean to get a rant on
  13. Polished aluminum or chrome alternators look better. Just my opinion
  14. Knock when accelerating....how is your timing chain?
  15. Found it and placed myself there...tks

  17. How many forum members are from BC? I am in Campbell River. Would be nice to know and maybe arrange a meet some time... Afterall it is hard to find loyalists of the L6 Flattie.
  18. I just got the car back on the road and took a 2 month holiday last summer...have only been to our club show here in Campbell River....Was in Courtenay for their cruise at last years show and shine....I would like to go to some long distance shows, not the local ones. Getting the car to the point of long distance comfort without ruining the classic look. Sorta Resto-mod....well sorta
  19. my 41 p12 does. when the big window is down and the vent open it is like a hardtop...
  20. I will have to loook into Radium....want to take her on a good road trip....

  22. Find any parts from Al Capone in there any where....Beautiful car........
  23. The guys in our club are always poking me about the flattie....Just lift the hood and show off the twin carbs and chrome fins on the head and watch the crowds drool..... Love the flattie....
  24. No harm going that way....reverse it and look out....diesels don't take gas very well
