American Pickers place was a huge disappointment!!! Just as you guys said, most items are not for sale and t-shirts everywhere for sale. We did however stop at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa Iowa. That was amazingly cool. They had a 1941 HD with a Goulding Package truck sidecar with Dodge job rated logos on it. I have pictures and will send later.

So what about if a person has the ability to fabricate a hard to find part to make it look like an original part, that does not give them the right to claim it as original. Or if one uses stainless brake lines because it would have been better than original that would make his truck still be original. This is why I do what I want on my trucks and if you don't like it, don't look!! By the way, awesome truck

I also enjoy shooting and teaching my 10 year old city slicker granddaughter gun safety and how to hunt. When she was around 4 years old she overheard me telling my wife I was going to go bunny hunting (I hate rabbits, they have ate several of my newly planted trees). She was determined to go with and I killed one and told her to pick it up and I will take a picture of it for her parents. To my surprise she grabbed by its rear legs and held it high. Since then she has watched her dad kill 2 dear and got involved in gutting, skinning, packaging and cooking the venison. Her parents think its great that she can experience guns that are handled properly and get a taste of country living. Ulu, I would think you could find a clip for your gun online..

I just came across a 1948' one ton, 1950 half ton and a 1952 3/4 ton trucks for sale. All three are in sad shape and I need them like I need a hole in my head but I threw an offer on a package price on all three. He is going to think about it and let me know. I am not sure if I want you to wish me luck.

Just curious how high that bumper is to the top of it. I have no clue how tall you are but assuming the wall girts are 24" OC. it appears the bumper is much taller than my 2.5 ton semi.

Merle mentioned the highlight of his trip, mine was watching Jeremiah start his truck with an original hand crank. Not that he needed to but just because he could. Very cool.

I just got back from "Back to the Fifties" AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is 12,000 vehicles that are older than 1964 and the setting with the State Fair Grounds is incredible. I would like to thank Ed & Carmon for hosting the BBQ. I really enjoyed talking with them and there parents. I would also like to thank Mark & Linda for putting me up for the weekend and driving us around to see the sites (COE) in the ghetto cruiser. I also had a blast with Merle & Michelle and Jeremiah & Sarah. It felt like we have been friends for years and everybody got along great. Thanks all for a great vacation!! I broke my neck in a very drunken state crash 8 years ago and I still drive, now I am smarter. I cant say its from crashing, I think age woke me up more. I still think the guys who run the Isle race are nuts. In my prime I don't think I would have pushed it that hard.. Its on my bucket list to go there and watch.
