  1. Started my disassembly process and ran into what is probably a minor problem. The instructions tell me to remove the idle tube then lift out the step-up piston assembly and spring. Should this piston assembly lift right out? I tried to pull it out with plyers and it wount budge. Am I missing something here? Help, Jim Roach
  2. Just picked up my kit from NAPA ($20 each). This kit came with the aluminum caps that you were talking about. What are they for? Should I use the new ones? Thanks for everyone's help so far, Jim Roach
  3. What about the level of difficulty?
  4. I came accross this at a local antique shop close to where I live. It has a chebby 350 but the rest is all mopar.
  5. Well I finally found a matching set for use on my dual carb set-up. They both need to be rebuilt. My question is, where do I find the numbers needed to identify the correct rebuild kit for these carburetors, and where is the best place to purchase the kits? This is something I have never done before. Should I let someone with more experience do the work or is it relatively easy with the instructions that come with the kits? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Jim Roach
  6. Same with me!
  7. Boyd, I have a complete 53 box tucked back in the corner of my garage. I'll try and get back in there in the next few days and see if I can get the pic's your looking for. Right now it's pretty nippley, oh did I say nippley, I ment nippy, here in the northeast right now. Jim Roach
  8. Just came through your area down I-81 yesterday on our way back from fishing in Canada heading back to Berwick Pa. Hammered the bass and beautiful weather on the lake, doesn't get much better than that.
  9. I think we could get a couple of us from the great Commonwealth of Pa., what do you think Dave?
  10. Looks like you were having a blast. Did anyone check out the 56 Nomad that passed at the one minute mark?
  11. Looks great. First class job from what I can see. I have some 1X6X10 red oak boards I bought many years ago that I'm going to use for the same thing. I still need to get my brake issues worked out first. Time is my biggest problem. Thanks for the photos. Jim Roach
  12. Let us know if you find them, I could use a couple myself. Jim Roach
  13. It was a F**d F-1.
  14. Are there any M37 collectors here that would be interested in a truck here in PA? I came across one but not sure of the year, maybe a 51 or 52. Has a new rag top and seat covers. No title. It is in various stages of restoration. I'm trying to help out a friend to get rid of it and find a new home, at the same time help out a club member. I can provide pictures if someone is interested. He is looking for a offer. Jim Roach
  15. Bob, Nice weather, great trucks, and best of all good friends. Like Merle said maybe one day I'll make it. I'll put it in my bucket list. Nice pictures. Looks like everyone had a blast! Jim Roach
  16. Merle, Same from me, I hope you have a great birthday and make sure you get lots of cake & icecream!!! Jim Roach
  17. Nice job Charlie! It reminds me of my younger years growing up in Burbank, Ca. Gotta love those woodies!! Jim Roach
  18. That is just too cool!!!
  19. Thanks for the pics. That's exactly what I have been looking for. Jim Roach
  20. I have a Fulton visor that I want to mount on my 52 B3B but wasn't sure where to attach the mounting hardware. Could you give us a close up picture of the attaching points? Thanks, Jim
  21. Reg, Same here in PA.
  22. You can find them on Ebay from time to time. Good luck, Jim Roach
  23. Hi Merle, The set I got has brass bushings and ball bearings, but they also have a bearing washer that is inserted under the bearing to carry the load. The brass bushings are also slotted inside to accept the grease and allow it to spread in and around the shaft. Very high quality. Got it on EBay for about $25. I have seen them for a lot more ($80+)but keep your eyes open. Jim Roach
  24. I purchased a rear wc from BB and it leaked from the start. Purchased one from NAPA and it worked just fine. I tried to discuss it with BB but he wouldn't return emails. I've long since scratched him from my parts list. Jim Roach
  25. Dave, Glad to see things worked out for you. One of these days I'll get around to addressing my brake problem. We'll have lunch. Jim Roach
