Don-
I see your point, but at the same time I don't, and here's why:
Of course, if I see an item on Ebay that I really want, naturally I'm going to keep it to myself the best I can. Again, if I see an item that I feel will benefit people on here, I don't see the harm in posting it. How am I to know that you have your eye on it? Ebay is an open market to the world.
In my opinion, sniper ware is a form of cheating. Like you said...why should the guy that didn't do his homework on Ebay for an item be given the benefit of having someone do his work for him? Makes sense, but on the other hand, why have a sniper service do the bidding for you when you should be at the computer fighting it out at the last minute like the rest of us do. If there is an item I want, I'm going to try my best to win in this last few seconds or if I can't be there, I will set the highest price I'm willing to pay and hope for the best. That's just how it goes.
I'm sure others on here might agree with me, but will chose to stay out of it. Sorry if it doesn't sit right with you, but your way of thinking on this issue seems a little greedy to me and somewhat self-centered.
