  1. usually if you get water in the oil it will turn a milky colour. thats too bad if you did, good thing you found it before too long.
  2. tanks inc does have one that fits.
  3. this is exactly what I was looking for as I got a scratch on the passenger door:mad: thanks guys, now who has a set for sale?
  4. was there ever a door guard like this for our trucks. (particularly B2's)
  5. Hey Dan you will like this one, I mounted the brake booster under the cab (I will admit I have followed your thread and borrowed a few ideas) anyways, I finally decided on a floor shifter and bought the Lokar shifter kit. Got it and the mounting point is absolutely exactly dead center behind the brake booster. I remember a comment in Classic truck magazine about slamming your hand in the truck door before beginning a project, and it felt just like that. After some cutting, welding, cursing, I have a shifter. Lucky I am doing this for fun.
  6. I used a wheel spacer bolt pattern changer. It added 1" to the width but with a backspaced rim it all added up to looking good. (fargo 1/2 ton) on my dodge 1 ton with the 6 lug, I ended up getting the powerwagon rims from Stockton as nothing fit that pattern
  7. 10 ohms empty, 90 ohms full
  8. was it the one that said "hey you vegetarians, my food poops on your food"? or the "bullets make me happy" mark
  9. I agree with the looking better part. I still haven;t driven yet so I will comment on that later, but with the backs a bit wider than the front it looks better.
  10. did you need a residual pressure valve on your set up dan?
  11. myself and I believe several others are using the Chevy setup under the cab. The bends in the pedal fit the sheet medal, it just took some constructive thinking on the mounting of the booster.
  12. I have a flat top rectangular tank in my '50 that I bought off of a forum member. It did not have the hump like the original but it bolted right in place. On my '48 I have a TanksINC U3 as they did not have the dodge available. It is also a flat top. I haven't missed the hump on either truck.
  13. take a look at dan's posts on his hemi http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=20635
  14. stock everything on the one ton. The back end skids pretty easy, especially on the really skinny tires. I think the brakes are quite good, but if the guy in front is better you still loose. So I leave a bit of room.
  15. I google mapped Lodi and Hollister and it comes up as CA, NJ,WI and OH.
  16. Looking good. I am hopefully within a few weeks of starting mine, I was thinking of using glass packs for the exhaust. Maybe the cherry bombs. I live on the bottom of a hill so coming home I can always coast in, its just the leaving that will disturb the neighbours.
  17. when I went to 12 volt I changed to electronic gauges
  18. thats great when it all works.
  19. probably not a good idea to be taken pictures while you are driving at 30mph
  20. Hey is that an old scrap car, just beside the truck:rolleyes: (kinda looks like a camaro)
  21. it will work except your true empty will be off. If 10 ohms was empty, with the new gauge you will be empty probably around 1/8th of tank. (rough math). If you want to be sure, carry a gas can and run to you are empty. Or if you have a wife like mine you won't be allowed below a 1/4 tank:D
  22. sounds like fun. Maybe in Alberta? to meet in the middle.
  23. My garage looks like it did about a year ago. LOL I had to double check that I was at the end of the thread!!!!
  24. I did the conversion, and just swapped everything over. It all worked great.
