  1. when you are sitting on the seat looking at the face of the gauge its the post on the left.
  2. http://dodgecentralmi.biz can't vouch for them (or as they say, "I cannot confirm or deny") as wasn't available when I did my repairs, but YES.
  3. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/pts/4937764835.html
  4. $10.00 http://dodgecentralmi.biz/ocart/index.php?route=product/search&filter_name=vin
  5. http://hagensautoparts.com/dodge/ great info here, for part numbers Dorman is usually just the W Raybestos add a C so WC10588 or W10588 etc
  6. I like the thinking here, as soon as the fuel pump is in and working you NEED a horn, for everyone to get outta your way!
  7. I've had problems with no pedal pressure being caused by too much travel in the shoes and wheel cylinders. The master cylinder is not that large of a reservoir for the sizes of the w/c. Make sure you have adjusted all of the shoes before doing anything drastic.
  8. I found this to be the secret, I just cranked it over, crawled under found it was too hard to thread a bolt, cranked it a second time and it just threaded right on, only a bit of a draw towards the bottom of the threads. The cam is compressing the fuel pump actuator from all in, to all out.
  9. a milwaukee drill. PS: don't ever buy the Makita. PPS: I think the milwaukee was a family present cause they could hear me swearing over top of the makita drilling noise.
  10. seeing lots of ads for this https://www.rockwelltools.com/en-US/Jawhorse_RK9003.aspx looks pretty cool just curious if anyone here has one? mind you for $99 at Lowes mebbe overthinking it.
  11. brake switch is on the master cylinder, top front, nut with two posts on top.
  12. Don't ignore what Fargos go far said use the 251, everytime I have gone for parts in Surrey BC, it is the only one that shows up in the books.
  13. not saying right or wrong but I re-used mine, I used heat shrink from inside the plug to about 4 inches out of the plug, that was 10 years ago.
  14. thats interesting as in both my fargo and the B2D the serial number vin tag in the driver door post was held on with screws when I got the trucks. Never sure if this was proper or just the PO's but it has come in handy. (having removable Vin tags that is)
  15. for the shoes there are a set of 10x2" and a set of 11"x2 on ebay for $60, I think as a 3/4 ton you need the 10"s
  16. thanks for the replies, I mean a high spot on the drum, the pedal doesn't pulse, the whole truck kinda moves. I will get the brake tool and do a proper major adjustment. But in the meantime, it is like the shoes "seated" I had done a minor setup and the brakes just weren't feeling right, I drove about 4-6 miles, some light brakes, couple of hard brakes, and all of sudden they just smoothed right out, works great now. Still a high spot in the front drum which I will get surfaced, and definitely my next project will be to get the amoco tool and do a major adjustment, but for now they are working great.
  17. every 1000? 600? once a month I'm in the city and been finding about every 500-600 on the minor adjustment. Today I noticed I have two rims out of round as when I set them up tight it rubs in one spot, and when I brake it it pulsates. If I brake hard the tires skid ( this is where the 6" wide tires don't do so good, not much road contact,) so I think my stopping distance is worse. Could be my imagination as I haven't driven it much this year, or have I lessened shoe contact?? or will the shoe wear in a couple of trips to fit the drum?
  18. I went to a local annual charity show and shine for Parkinsons, this is the first year me and my son were able to attend, me with my unmolested and very aging B2D and him with his hot rod Fargo B2B We were trying for the Left Twix, Right Twix theme, to see what the crowd liked best, anyways, OLD Dodge won. But, what was interesting was some of the stories, I had one guy tell me that "back in Newfoundland" in the '50's they would dump all of the fish LOOSE into the back of the Dodge and he would haul the loose fish up and down hills, and he said " I learned to brake very gently" He said no boxes, not dividers, just popped the net into the one ton. Another guy was telling me out on the prairies they had a brand new Green PH and after hauling manure the paint was more yellow!! (I'm a city guy but that has got to be some pretty caustic manure) Last guy was telling me, his dad used to move truck and tractor into field by hanging a chain on the truck steering wheel, put it into first gear, pulled the throttle out a bit and aimed for the field, he would drive out on the tractor and walk back to meet the moving truck.
  19. for the wheel cylinders, the axles (in the photo) look like the 1 ton trucks, they use 3595 and 3596 for the left and the right sizes. They are two different size bores which is why theres a left and right. Napa sells, them, raybestos makes, sometimes for searching you need to stick wc in front wc3596. looks great and good luck.
  20. saw this on another site if anyone needs sheet metal http://rochester.craigslist.org/pts/4431937811.html
  21. does anyone know what an 18" dodge steering wheel stamped 693067 was from? Trying to find a horn button for the center, but it is really big 5-6" across
  22. does anyone know what an 18" steering wheel stamped 693067 is/was? trying to find center horn button for it, but it is really big, about 5-6" across the center.
  23. I saw a dodge in Vancouver with a 8" to 10" strip of glass, in the middle. At first I thought it was chrome then I realized it was glass. It looked great.
