I submitted a request by mail for the build card from Chrysler, wondering if anyone knows what kind of time-frame to expect a response, I am sure the are inundated with requests?
-
Thanks, I will make a note of that, never too many parts sources.

Nothing came up either name or company? Did see moparpro, added them.

Was going through some electrical items today - running tests. Seems the heater and wiper motor are OK, posted pics of the harness earlier, not too bad. Radio, not so much, it will take some looking at. ☹️ Question on the wiper motor switch, I am wondering just what this is...... Checked the manual and parts list to no avail? As far as the radio, I did bypass the Spark Plate as the Spark Coil came disconnected from it, but that should have no impact on function (based on my 4 years of HS Electronics classes)? It is basically called a Capacitor in the radio manual? Thanks, Bill

I have been too slowly making my way through all the old posts, got to page 200 of 450. I keep seeing several references that bring up questions, some answered some not. But, what trucks came with a frame mounted spare tire carrier? Was this just the 1/2 - 3/4 tons, I saw no reference to the larger 'wheeled' 1 ton? Photos please, if on the 1 ton.

53 Dodge pickup questions from a novice.

Mine is not original, but as I have 3 blocks to choose from, I will save the Dodge Car block and go with the T306 and bump it from 218 to 230. I have been told these old trucks are not "matching number" type restores. Do wish I remember why the "what was original" block got tossed. Could always 'redo' the block serial numbers, but that would be cheating and hard! ? and Yes who will really know, it will 'look' right. -

Why wait till tomorrow, when you still have sunlight today, so it looks like it's about two inch off the firewall is there anything that should be between it and the firewall if I do that pop out? Insulation? And then another question, is there something that would switch between fresh-air and cab air? -

Yes, sorry I edited that so quick I thought no one would catch the fact that the point size on the additional lines was so small. Excellent, that's nice to know, now I'm wondering if, without unboxing my heater does it mount flush to the firewall, or is there an insert I may be missing? It's been 32 years since I've seen this heater, and I vaguely remember the mounting bolts having stops welded on them so the heater stayed away from the firewall directly, of course after 32 years the mind does play tricks on you. I really should unbox it, just to look at my handiwork when I was in my late twenties, I hope I don't need to redo it. -

This photo brings up a question for me, I have the Truck Master 65 heater, (mine is restored in a box, this is a internet photo) I see you have the inlet and outlet hooked up but no mounting bolts? I assume you are using a different heater, in my case, should the knockout (in black) be removed for fresh air? I can not find any info for the install of this heater? -

Is this year specific? Or is this for all B series Dodge truck models? (48 B1D) Will need to go back to the shop and look at all my parts once I hear the answer to this one, to make sure I put it all together right! -
YOM plate restoration odyssey
billrigsby replied to lostviking's topic in Mopar Flathead Truck Forum
Colorado 48 plates are aluminum, from what I've been told, due to lack of steel after the war. Very hard to find a pair of CO 48 Truck plates. -

I'm getting ready to send a couple emails out to start getting quotes on machine work to get one of my blocks ready to be rebuilt. I don't want to miss anything and I've never actually rebuilt an automotive engine only two-stroke motorcycle engines. Can someone more knowledgeable than me provide a list of what services I will require starting with a hot tank dip and magnafluxing obviously. I could start listing the things I'm thinking about and ask a bunch of questions but I think it would be easier if I just got your input. Then if I have any further questions I can submit them. Thanks for helping out a newbie.
