  1. So guys is there a specific size..or number or model of the light sockets for the Speedo and such on the back of the panels .....mine are all fried. Thanks
  2. I have tried the search function several times and came up dead ...also tried Google ....thanks for the pics but those are welded on ......did they originally bolt to the tailgate bolts????? I have no holes what so ever on my truck where they would screw to.....steve

So I've goggled and goggled some more and still can't find a pic of the rear tailight mounting ,wether it's the sheet metal mount or the cast iron ...could someone post a pic here I prefer to see the cast iron mounts but would also like to see the sheet metal mounts I have to get these on order from DMC..and have To decide which way to go...Thanks Steve

  5. Ok since we are on a roll here ,how about a pic of rear tailights mounted with the cast iron brackets...........they may not be correct for my truck but I like the look.......thanks steve

  10. So if we don't have that hole in our center glass supports the truck never had a rear view mirror and if I want to add one I simply drill a hole. And mount it.....I ordered a mirror from DCM and it came with a bracket that looks like it mounted to the top of the can above the windshield and extends down 4 or 5 in....Thanks for the help

  12. Could someone explain this to me please......is the left pic for the front mounting and the right for the rear???? Sometimes I think I'm loosing it because some of this doesn't make any sense at all.......why is there only one rubber in the front ????? Thanks

Ok ...checked my shop manual first before I ask more questions....I'm learning.....but cannot find anything about our intake/exhaust manifolds....am I correct from what I see that they both get removed at the same time.....I would like to repair the intake heat damper but at a loss how to remove just the exhaust manifold...school me men....Thanks

  16. Ok buckaroo's on to the next puzzeling question: I got a new water pump at my local Napa...and it came with one bolt???? I'm kinda confused as to why one bolt came with it......Thanks
  17. Ok on to the dash: Replacing my cables - how do I get the trim rings off that hold them in place????? Do not need to save them because new ones come with the new cables Thanks

  21. When I look it up in the parts book,i think what I see is what they call "welting"might that be what would have been staples????? Thank you
  22. Thanks Merle....yea it's kinda weird seeing metal staples in metal trim..I would have like to see how they did that back in the day....the defrost boots are missing and I need to find them....Thanks again for helping...Steve

Ok -so I have the original inside metal trim that goes around the winshield and it was not installed when I got the truck.... #1 - it has what appears to me to have staples around the perimeter. Of the outside edge...what are they for or from..??? #2 They appear to have slots in the bottom I would think that's for the defrost air to get thru????? #3 -I have no screws what so ever and have no idea on size and can't find them in the parts book or shop manual.. #4 -I want to get them powder coated flat or matte black do I remove the staples first???? Thanks Steve
