  2. Thanks for posting and doing the video. My view here is nothing but supportive. Your vehicle has a family story of generational pleasure in a fine automobile. Seems like that will continue, given your son's involvement with you. Somehow, all these enhancements seem to suit this vehicle too. I am envious of some of the folks you are able to collaborate with in these projects - George Ashe etc. To be fair though, I don't devalue some of the guys down here in NZ. Have met some great enthusiasts and craftsmen in this game. It's just great to see these things. Thanks again.

  3. Thank You Vintage6t, That is the confirmation I was looking for, under the car looks the same and I feel for sure the tanks are the same on these models. It just makes me feel better when I start burning in the mounts, I will not have an "Uh - Oh" moment when I drop the body back on. Thank you sir........

  4. likely that the P series crank and D series flywheel conundrum.......many folks do not readily pick up on the difference especially if they going to move the car forward as it is.

  5. These donations go a long way in filling in the financial gaps as the hosting and software fees continue to rise over time! Ads provide the bulk of the financial support but donations top off the pot to keep it going for another year. Sniper, thank you again for your generous support!

  6. Luckily, I met two gentlemen a while ago who each have an old Dodge. And as luck would have it, they both have a spare starter, which they lent me to try out. After I had all three starters lying next to each other on the operating table, it was clear that the ring gear (R) on my starter was only just engaging. I compared all the components and found that someone had set the adjustable switch (thread) completely wrong and had fixed it with some kind of glue. The other starters could be adjusted, but mine couldn't. So I repaired it and my starter now works just as the Dodge Bros. intended it to. Joe

  7. Thanks for the kind words ..... Fact is, I was just pissed off at the car and put it in the corner for 2 years on a time out. Even after I bought the motor for it and started working on it .... I stopped with the excuse it was spring time and if I'm going to have a garden this year I need to spend my time there instead. .... so I did. The used engine came with a 90 day warranty, that ran out June 11th and I finally started it up on the 25th 2 weeks after warranty expired. .... I have just been dragging my feet on the job because it is a very big job, I really had no heart to do it, a 2nd time. So now it is sorta personal to me to fix it, Mother wanted the car to go to her daughter when she passed away. Then sitting in it this morning drinking my morning coffee warming it up, I adjusted the radio, turned on the AC, thought how comfortable the seats were ...... memories of the times we have taken it on road trips for months at a time. We have a lot of seat time in that car. Same time I have kept it up in good condition, If the motor proves to be good, the rest of it is ready for another road trip. So for me it is a forever car that we will own til we die ..... I just wish I fixed it sooner.
