Has anyone spoken with or heard from the owner of PLyDo. I was at our car show on Friday Night and someone mentioned he had called for some parts had a hard time reaching anyone and then when he did, they mentioned he had gotten ill and passed away??

Heard he passed away.

If he did die it must have been within the last month or so, There is no telling what he had in the "back room"----

Tom Bryant from Plydo....did some horse trading with him. Supplied disc brake conversions and had a lot of parts and info. I really dont want to believe that this is true. Our community is too small to lose another MoPaR afficiando. Tell the people you care for that you love them....life is short....I have nothing more to say. :(

Tom Bryant did indeed pass away and I am told that those involved with his business (his wife and others) intend to keep it going.

Be patient with them as they learn how to function without their leader.

Sorry to hear that, I bought from him a few times and he was really helpful. Hopefully his family is doing OK.:(

I am very sorry to hear this news. Tom was a great guy. I drove 1,000 miles to and from his place when I first started to build my 1940 Plymouth. He showed me around and then let me see his prized mopars. The seat I have in my car came from his yard. He let me trade him for some weather stripping rubber. I can still remember going over those railroad ties he had as a bridge. He was a very nice guy who did not know me from adam. I would call him from time to time to find out how to do cerain things on the Plymouth. The hobby will miss him greatly, may his family find peace in knowing he served so many people and gave so much of his self.

Rodney I am glad you could add personal information you had about Tom which I didn't know about him. I only knew him from his catalog and maybe one telephone conversation. I'm glad you made the effort to meet him and have car parts from his business.
