Tony WestOZ Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 Last week I was actually going through the two archive CD`s that GTK sent me back in the old forum days. Have not found what I was looking for but I know its in there. Still use the same name, just don`t post anywhere near as much as I use too. Quote
Guest P15-D24 Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 Make sure we are going in the right direction and keeping the spammers at bay. Day job has been keeping me pretty busy but I'm trying to make sure I have time to respond to at least a couple posts every day. Been very pleased at how well the new board is working. Quote
Ricky Luke Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 Still floating around - couple of moves for work and houses sort of put me out for a while. Now have a job with Victrack - the State rail infrastructure owner as the Rail Heritage Project Engineer. Lifes starting to calm down again. james curl Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 On both using the same name with more than you want to know about me in my profile. This place is better than most familes as everyone gets along without having their feelings hurt. The Don Coatney/Pete Anderson great race has been fun to read. Met Pete at Bonneville last summer, nice fellow. Quote
RALPHDEI Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 I signed RJD xnd came from the old POC board Quote
oldmopar Posted May 4, 2008 Author Report Posted May 4, 2008 A question from one of the noobs...how long ago did the forum change? and Was the old forum archived into this one? At one time they were available on cd's as Tony WestOZ referred to in a reply to this thread contact GTK he may be able to burn you a set for a forum donation. I arrived here early part of 2001 when I sold a Model T and purchased a 49 P15 that I need to learn about and I did get a good education here. Still have the car started to sell it a few times. Yesterday someone stopped by to pick up some parts I sold and was asking about the car as I showed him the car with a sales pitch about how solid the car was and how it was a easy project I sold it to my self and decided to keep it on the project list. That is what got me wondering how many that helped me down the Mopar road in the beginning were still here so I created the poll. Ed Quote
John Reddie Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 I was on the old board also and used the same name. John R:) Quote
martybose Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 I was on the old forum under the same name. I've owned my 47 since 1994, when I bought it as a partially restored stock car. It's been a project in progress since then, and probably always will be! It's had two different heads, three different induction systems, two different transmissions, and the engine is apart again while I clean up some details that were bugging me. Hope to be driving it again by this summer. Marty Quote

JerryinTx Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 I was just "Jerry" from the old board. I spent many an hour there while rebuilding my P15. My life has taken me elsewhere over the past couple of years (trying to learn how to fly an airplane), so I'm not here as much. I will never forget how much you guys helped me in restoring my car. Not to mention the many great laughs! I will never quit stopping by, just don't post much anymore. Quote
Young Ed Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 I was on the old board even before I had a p15. At first they had to put up with OT truck questions until I gave in and bought the coupe. Quote

Mackster, you and Christopher ought to get together. You could do some incredible chops. He could be the chopper and you could be the welder. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 Hello Christopher. Have you made any progress with any of your Plymouths. Are you still buying old combine engines? Quote
Christopher Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 Yep,, I keep my eye out for them combine engines.work on the projects is always slower then one would want, spoons canes and family keeps me pretty busy.you can make plans, but can't plan the outcome..I read the board, bout everyday, but like Todd said some smart guy answers first. spend some time over at moparts, as some projects are getting those new v8 type engines..also read the hamb, for some inspiration..Thats about it from the high and lonesome....Christopher.... .
