Gary;

Tell me more about the Smashville meet. I missed it this year.

If those wire wheels are in good shape I'd say you got a good deal there!

I was there, and unfortunately couldn't take the time to check it out as much as I wanted to. I got there around 9 and had to leave by 10:45. Definitely not nearly enough time. Overall it seemed like a great show. I'll have to admit, I haven't done many of these mainly because I was never in a position to need them to find vintage parts. So I may not be the best person to assess how good or bad a show it was. But I enjoyed the little bit of time I got to spend there and, I'll definitely have to make plans to better pillage and plunder it next year. LOL

I didn't find any really specific early Mopar dealers. It seemed to me that everyone who had anything of interest to me seemed to have everything which made spotting that much more difficult...but still lots of stuff to be had. There were times that I wished I had an old Ford though. I spotted plenty of ford flathead V8 parts and even some speed equipment.

I had my eyes open for overdrives and carbs, and some trim parts, but didn't see anything. I ran into one of the Tennessee Poor Boy's who happens to own a 52 plymouth sedan. He had scored a complete Carter BB carb from I dealer who didn't know what it was for. He ended giving him a dollar for a fully complete, rebuildable core. Next year some of the local guys and those willing to drive will have to make a little meet of it.

BTW anyone know whether there are any more swap meets coming up within range of a couple hours drive of Nashville in the near future. I've been bitten by the bug and need to get a fix of old grungy parts...:D
