1941 Dodge Luxury Liner To Be Parted Out

Hi Guys, I am in the process of purchasing a 1941 Luxury Liner that is beyond fixing. However, its all there, well the floor and most of the bottom isn't, but all the outside chrome and stainless is in great shape, the emblems are very nice, and the original set of fog lamps are still on the car. Inscripted in the chrome housing is MOPAR and its also on the yellow lens. They are in excellent condition. All the glass is good and the bumper need rechroming. All the outside lights, bezels and lens are there and in good shape. The front grille is very nice, all the bars are there and not bent! The hood ornament is nice and still has the original clear plastic top piece on it! The inside, well the mice and varmits took car of that and there is not any material left in the car. The dash is complete with radio and clock as well as window and door cranks and escutchens. Interior trim is there and what not. I will be parting this car out and want to sell to the members of this forum before anything goes to ebayland. I will keep you posted and list pics when I can.

Reg, yes it is and I'm sorry for putting off for so long. The 41 Dodge has the hubcaps your looking for, so if you want, we can wait to see if the man will sell the car to me and then you can get the caps as well and the speedo if you still wnat that.

Hey, My girlfriend and I have a 1940 Plymouth and are in need of a front crossmember or a whole frame. I am still in the research stage of the project due to the fact I didn't know we needed one until I got the little car on the trailer and almost removed the lower control arms pulling (more like dragging) her. The car is very rough to say the least and we are going to rebuild her from the ground up. Most people would think that we are crazy for wanting to take this kind of time on the car but we enjoy the work. I need to know what if any differences are between 1940 and 1941. I may just want the crossmember. I will get our car in the air soon and inspect and study the rest or the frame for other parts needed. Sounds like you got yourself a real project. I'm not sure which frames would work, but I'll bet someone here knows. I had a complete 50 front end and I stripped off all the parts and junked the frame/crossmember part. I was surprised at how lightweight that part was. Easy to see how they can rust out. If you can find a Hollander manual that goes back to 40 there is a frame interchange section. My manual is 1946-56 and doesn't cover the 40 model. Is yours a coupe, 2 door sedan, 4 door sedan or?

The car is a 4 door. Told it is a P-12 but that was when we thought it was a 1941. I was looking for parts before I got the car home. We knew it looked good, thats all we needed. My girlfriend likes the hood. Center hinged, opening from the sides.

Where would I get a hollander interchange book? Any ideas?

Dang I just through out the cross member off a p15. Its long gone now though. I would bet the 40 and 41 frame is the same. They shared a basic body design. Ed

Wish I could. I used my Fathers Camera. Very detailed. I tried to attech them with this reply, files were to large.
