Don Coatney Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 Fast Eddie Speghetti; Hope you are doing well as I have not talked to you for a while. I dont have one but Frank McMullen might have one. If he does not he knows all there is to know about them. Quote
Don Coatney Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 I kinda like this one... Pete Pete; I responded to your POC message but it got zapped. The pictures you posted in this thread are red X's on my puter and I cannot prompt an opening. Wonder if the POC problem you mentioned is a problem with your server or your puter system? Or do I have a problem with my system? Quote
Normspeed Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 I'm afraid I'm getting the red Xs in Pete's posts too. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 glad you folks are seeing them also..for a minute I thought I lost at Tic Tac Toe Quote
Merle Coggins Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 I was getting red X's a couple of days ago too on Pete's posts. Then I was able to right click and select "Show Picture" and the pictures would appear. That's not working on today's posts. Merle Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 evidently the inliners site where th shots are located is having technical diffculties. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 I just did a "right click" and then clicked on "Properties". I then copied the link and pasted it into the address bar of my browser. I was then able to see the pics. Then for some reason, they appeared when I came back to the thread. Here are the same links. That's an interesting throttle linkage setup. And that's a mean lookin' blower on that Flattie. http://www.inliners.org/Salt/images/Airflow.jpg http://www.inliners.org/Salt/images/Airflow2.jpg Quote
blueskies Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 The pics I posted in this thread are not my own, I linked them to the inliners site. Maybe their site does not allow cross-linking? Does this pic show for you guys? Oh, and sorry for the thread hijack... Now back to flatty 8's... Pete Quote

Or do I have a problem with my system? No idea what is going on with my pics on the POC. They seem to disable the site for not only me, but other users as well. I did a test post with a pic on the OSR board and it seemed to work there... I hope that there isn't an issue with my hosting package, that would be a drag. I use the same host for my office website too... Pete Quote
Normspeed Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 I'm getting a "403 forbidden" message from the two links that Merle put up. Seems like I used to get that one a lot from the POC site before it went south. Pete, I can see that last photo of your ride just fine. Quote

Picture appeard as soon as I posted my response Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 Here is a "323" Chrysler straight 8 next to a 230 Plymouth engine. They are lined up straight across even though it doesn`t look like it. The "8" is quite a bit longer! Bob Quote
Normspeed Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 What a monster! Almost looks like a Plymouth 3 speed would bolt right up though. Quote

I dont have one but Frank McMullen might have one. If he does not he knows all there is to know about them. Doing good here Don. Hope you all are doing the same there. Thought I'd ask the forum if anyone had a flathead 8 since I still have some parts that goes on one. They wont work on a 6, has to be an 8cyl. I'll just leave the thread hanging incase someone missed it. Quote
