Ivan_B Posted July 7, 2023 Report Posted July 7, 2023 Did anyone install a remote brake reservoir on the below-the-floor master? I am not a fan of these older cylinders where you cannot easily see the fluid level. I suppose I can just find a small reservoir with a hose barb and tap right into the master cap, right? Are there any better options? I am pretty sure I've seen older-looking aftermarket setups in some 50-s cars. Looked around Google but could not find anything useful, thus far. Thanks. Quote

Ivan_B Posted July 7, 2023 Author Report Posted July 7, 2023 Thank you. Don't know how I missed that in the search results Quote
Young Ed Posted July 7, 2023 Report Posted July 7, 2023 For the cars you can use an extra rear cap as the top and you've got a line connection ready to go. 1 Quote
Sniper Posted July 7, 2023 Report Posted July 7, 2023 (edited) Trucks use a different setup than cars it is easy to find a fitting for the truck master cylinders. Cars have an oddball thread that it's hard to find. Now the rear cap where the brake lines come out screws into the top so if you've got an extra master cylinder lying around you could use that. Motive makes an adapter for their power bleeder setup that screws right into the master cylinder but it's not particularly cheap. I did a review here on that motive bleeder and I give the part numbers it might help Edited July 7, 2023 by Sniper 1 Quote
