Engine is now home. Me and the wifey will start assembly this week. I had the mains bored to .0012 clearance and the rods will be .001

Wait a minute, that's way too tight according to some old geezers that work on SBCs, lol.  Sorry, another thread here.

I've read that thread. It goes both ways. I like it in the middle. To tight and the flow may be less, I feel. Now my rods are babbitted along the sides almost like a thrust bearing. I want to make sure there is enough flow along with it being a little tight

Good progress this morning. Wife installed the last two pistons and the head. Timed the camshaft also. I forgot that the early cam markings are 180 apart and not together.

I spent several hours checking/fitting/working those factory asbestos MoPar rear main seals...take plenty of time to be sure it's right as you know.?
