Hi all

I hang out of the p15\d24 side and ask dumb questions about my 1947 d24 project. Working on this car has given me the bug for a proper vehicle, a pickup. I've been looking around and found one that looks good and I'd like you're opinions on it if you don't mind.

It looks nearly perfect in the pictures and description sounds like the real deal. I hope I'm not breaking any rules pasting that link here.

Thanks

Andy

its a sharp looking truck,  all I can say is....can't hide money....but the cost of everything today is just so out of control....giving you can find it to buy in the first place...as far as posting...you running a greater risk of tipping off another buyer over that of posting it here for us to see.

can't speak for those sniping a truck...but in the past a few parts were listed on an opinion/will this fit and the guy got beat out of the part buy a fast moving hustler also on this forum....led to some ill feeling and some critical post on posting parts ads on open forum.   I felt bad for the guy as he was just wanting to be sure what he is buying is what he was needing.  Have seen where a part was listed as non specific application and someone here told the seller what the part fit, item removed from listing and relisted at about 5 times the opening price.  IT HAPPENS

I can not argue with the high price of everything today .... $22K for a Dodge seems pretty high.   They never did sell for that price a few years ago.

$15K seemed to be a high quality truck purchase?

Your photos show a good looking truck, I think it would need to be in pristine condition to be priced higher then others ..... Your photos do not show that.

What do I know, I .... Just my opinion.   I feel if it was a chebby or a Ferd, the $22k would be in line.

They have every part available aftermarket & a big following for them. .... And they have sold for that price.

A Dodge, they are not popular, there is not a huge line of aftermarket parts for them, used parts are hard to come by .... The value or popularity is not there .....

Just a personal opinion, A Dodge truck a couple years ago would not sell for $22k .... Maybe today they do.

The truck in question is very nicely cosmetically restored, but there's a few details that were overlooked.  I dunno what shape the mechanicals are in... that requires closer inspection and a good test drive.  You could spend half the listed price and do the work yourself but then how much is your time worth...hiring experienced professionals to do technical work costs $$$ but that allows you to work on other stuff...anyhow, I'd suggest taking the truck for a Sunday drive then crawl all over it noting any deficiencies before making an offer...
