dgrinnan Posted August 30, 2022 Report Posted August 30, 2022 I checked on DCM Classics and did not see anything. Should there be some sort of gasket between the headlight bucket and fender on a 47 1/2 ton? Quote
lostviking Posted August 31, 2022 Report Posted August 31, 2022 I'll try to remember to check when I get home. I have one of them off right now. Tim Quote
Young Ed Posted September 8, 2022 Report Posted September 8, 2022 I looked in my 41-47 parts manual and I see a mounting pad listed for the cowl lights but not for the headlights. Only mounting pad I see is for the special rule trucks with the headlights mounted lower. Book calls them the 42" height limit Quote
dgrinnan Posted September 8, 2022 Author Report Posted September 8, 2022 Thanks. I wanted to confirm before I mounted them. Quote
Veemoney Posted September 8, 2022 Report Posted September 8, 2022 The headlight 3 wire plug has a ground wire that screws to the inside of the headlight bucket and mine had no gaskets when attaching to the fender. Headlight bucket therefore needs to ground through the fender to frame. You could run a separate ground wire to each bucket from the frame for a clean connection which I did on mine. Quote
lostviking Posted September 12, 2022 Report Posted September 12, 2022 Sorry for not answering. By the time I got home I forgot about your question. I see you got a good answer already. Tim 1 Quote
