Sniper Posted June 12, 2022 Report Posted June 12, 2022 (edited) Another site I frequent has a thread going on about vapor lock. One solution some use might help here as well. They use an insulating sleeve on the fuel lines. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/the-18050 Edited June 12, 2022 by Sniper 1 Quote
Doug&Deb Posted June 12, 2022 Report Posted June 12, 2022 That’s an idea. Wooden clothes pins also work. I believe what we call vapor lock is actually fuel percolation. I installed an electric pump for that and also for priming after the car sits. Quote

1949 Wraith Posted June 13, 2022 Report Posted June 13, 2022 I have slit old rubber fuel line and placed it over the metal lines to help insulate Quote
Kilgore47 Posted June 13, 2022 Report Posted June 13, 2022 The split fuel hose works. And I re routed the fuel line to get it away from the exhaust manifold. Hot starts are not a problem now. If I had known about the insulating sleeve that Sniper talked about I would have tried that first. Quote
