Bryan Posted April 5, 2022 Report Posted April 5, 2022 About got screwed over by CarID site. They have rotors, distributor caps, etc for our cars.. Prices look great, no shipping, until you hit the Paypal authorization then it tried to add $36 shipping on an $18 order. I hit the cancel button on PayPal and backed out. 1 Quote

TodFitch Posted April 8, 2022 Report Posted April 8, 2022 Any reason you were trying to Internet order tune up parts? Those should be available at your local better auto supply. They might have to get them from the regional warehouse but they usually have at least one delivery per day. I find that if I call in for the parts in the morning I can usually have them the same afternoon. Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted April 8, 2022 Report Posted April 8, 2022 your local big box store has online pricing also, shows if stocked, turn around and my one stores here gets orders twice daily from the hub....each store is a bit different....I hate to say it but the local I have an account at (set up so I would not have to stop what I am doing, pay for the special order in person at the store first) would get the part in but their counter folks today are so brain dead it is beyond belief and trying not to be gender biased but when you are more concerned over breaking a fake fingernail on a keyboard, well your priorities are out of whack toward the customer and the company needs better guidelines for 'work abilities and ethics'. The other store in town gives me better service, better quality of folks staffing and also orders in my part via a phone call and their site has better parts descriptions and in some cases, drawing with specs outlined. The third is just so out of line in prices it is my last choice for anything and the counter folks are helpful though...but one or two are cocky and not quite as up on the subject as they think. Their attitude is not the best to the walk in customer as they are the county selected store for the school bus and truck fleet they don't need walk in folks. It is often a chore seeking parts any more. 1 Quote
