Also in the early to mid  60's a aluminum tie strap was used on some of the MoPar cars inner fender panel double heater hoses.

Now that you say that, I think that's where I saw them used, on heater hoses, maybe not so much on the wiring harnesses.  But maybe to fasten the finished harness in place with some sort of anchor point.  My memory is spotty at best.

I saw this company earlier in my searches but at the time I just did a quick scan of what they had and the sizes just seemed to be way to large.  However after taking a second look just now it appears they may have some sizes more in tune with what would be appropriate for our trucks.  I just finished sending them a message asking for details and places to buy.  At the moment it appears they probably prefer to sell in bulk to customers and I don't think I fit the description of needing bulk wire ties :)

Thanks,

Brad

I've seen several instances on this forum of members getting together a group buy for items only available in large quantities. Seems like that might be worth a try here.  BobB

They have an Amazon Store, still 100 pieces and would need modification to look correct,

but what @BobB said, $0.38 / piece - Free Shipping, or selling the extras on EBay is also an option,

I did that with Vintage Hose Clamps I bought, had to buy a box of each size......

I had been wondering about the thickness of the ones being advertised.  This ad says .016".  (Just over 1/64")   Does anyone have one they know to be original, and could check thickness with a micrometer?

Good find.  I searched Amazon and they didn't show up, of course I didn't search for "wire marker".  That's not a term I would have considered.  Anymore when I want to search for something on Amazon I use Google.  The Amazon search feature is more interested in displaying "sponsored" items than items you're really looking for.  Makes for a frustrating experience.
