fireguyfire Posted December 17, 2021 Report Posted December 17, 2021 So I’ve found a donor engine for my 1940 1/2 ton, and it’s a 25” flathead 6 out of a 1942 1 ton which is a solid runner, but I’m still going to go through it entirely. The carb that is on the donor engine looks to be original, and is a Carter ball and ball manufactured for Chrysler and the only number on the carb is 6-293. Im going to rebuild the carb of course and went to several box store parts stores today and none of them can find anything near this number for a Carter in their parts books. My questions are, is this likely the original carb on the 42 engine, does this number make any sense to you guys and gals out there, and finally any suggestions on where I might get a rebuild kit for it? 1949 Wraith Posted December 18, 2021 Report Posted December 18, 2021 Mikes Carburetor has kits. They used to have an Alberta branch, but not so sure now. In Washington State. https://www.carburetor-parts.com/bb-k4060.html 1 Quote
