Sniper
Someone want to know what size bolts were needed to bolt a flat head to an HF engine stand. The stand I have, which is an HF one, will only fit the flat head in one configuration. Top two bolts are the 5/16 ones and screw into the block. The bottom two bolts pass thru an existing hole on each side and are held with a nut. You will need washers under the heads of the bolts to keep them from passing thru the holes on the engine stand arms. 4
Dodgeb4ya
I think the upper threaded block bolts are 3/8" X 16?
Booger
well at least something from HF works..Actually HF is a good source of stuff you dont have to use every day. I have one of their 110 wire feed migs and its just fine for light duty stuff. Is that your rebuild Sniper? JerseyHarold
I have an old 4-wheel HF engine stand and the flathead six drooped when I mounted it to the stand. I supported the front of the engine with wood as a precaution. Maybe the latest version is sturdier.
