Weight of a 1949-1950 Plymouth Suburban?

Does anyone know this weight?

Considering buying  one on those Quick Jack frame type frame lift that only raise the frame up 21" or maybe the one that raises to 24". 1 per side hydraulic lifts now on sale- - Maybe!

Weight is a issue for them. I do not to want to meet my maker under my project!  5K is probably  OK but not sure.

Why such a low lift? A low garage with a lower garage door opener in my way. Raise the garage roof? Out of my means!

This lift may? enable me with a raised back creeper to work under the car-  if I can get on the knees to get on a creeper and BACK UP!- that is the challenge

Thanks for any  reply,

I'm only 56 but I hear you.  Wore myself out pushing the Plymouth into the garage today.  Granted I has using a jack for the front suspension but still that kind of thing would not have been an issue not so long ago.  Bad ticker.

Thanks Marc.

Still thinking about the jack. It is avail at 200 less through 11/30 and shipped free.

Would also need help just to get the pieces in my garage as delivery is Only to the drive way.  30-40 ft.

Oh well, getting old is not for the weak minded or not willing to ask for help! ?

I was lucky enough to hire an unemployed friend, age 47,  to help with my car and house projects.  He doesn't know a water pump from a starter motor, but he learns anything involving manual labor very fast!  He even helped me remove the body from the chassis on my 48 DeSoto.  I made a a wooden cart to put the body on.  So easy to work on the chassis without the body in the way!  But I was told putting the body back on is the really hard part!
