DJK Posted March 18, 2021 Report Posted March 18, 2021 Has anyone used the carpet kits from JC Whitney(Newark Auto Products)? Quote
Booger Posted March 18, 2021 Report Posted March 18, 2021 no but I was ok with Stock Interiors had to do a little fit up Quote
greg g Posted March 18, 2021 Report Posted March 18, 2021 (edited) I got some from a place out of New Jersey. It is not a very good fit, it rolls down in the foot Wells and the material isn't the best. Think it was stock interiors com. Guess you can't expect much to 200 bucks these days. capt den Posted March 21, 2021 Report Posted March 21, 2021 i bought a set for my 54 windsor convertible about a year ago. nice carpet, but not a perfect fit. close enough for my car, but if you want perfection these will not do. however, i do not think that they made any effort to make a set for the convertible, they just sold me a set for a two door. just my guess. overall though, a decent product for the money. capt den 1 Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted March 23, 2021 Report Posted March 23, 2021 (edited) Do you have a wholesale auto trim business in your area.....where you could simply purchase a roll of carpet ... which you could then take to an auto upholstery shop where they could cut, fit and bind it? That's what I did and it all fits good. But costs a bit more. I had them do front, rear and trunk carpet (all the same color) and it all was good. They even made a "flap" in the driver side carpet which can be folded back to access the master cylinder for checking/filling brake fluid.....without having to pull the carpet from under the rubber sill plate. I use matching maroon rubber floor mats on top of the carpet to protect it. They can be easily removed if you wish to have just the carpet seen during a show. greg g Posted May 15, 2021 Report Posted May 15, 2021 Where are you? Look in your area for folks who do work on boats. They can make up about anything you need from vinyl, cloth, canvas and even leather. They are used to dealing with different shapes and sizes. Quote
