BobT-47P15 Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Was looking up some info on rubber hood bumpers on a P15 for Tim a couple days ago......and learned something new myself. Had not really studied on how many of those little round bumpers came on these cars. The answer is four per side. Three larger (thicker) and one real thin one. You can see the frontmost thick one.....and ball point pens marking the holes where the other two go. The front (thin) one is on the curve of the fender. Just in case anyone wants to know. Don't know a handy source for these, however. Quote
Young Ed Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 I found some tall ones that were really close at the hardware store. I think I had to reuse the short ones though. Quote
bobby horne Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 .....I used the part of a valve stem that I cut off a wheel to put new valve stems on. If they are too thick, a sharp razor blade will shave them. Quote
Brendan D25 Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Bobby, that is a good idea. Is that a ferret keeping guard over your car? Quote

Frank Blackstone Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 I got my rubber hood bumpers at Restoration Specialists. Did not notice a thin one but ones I got work well. Remember the ones that separate the rear bumper shelf between the trunk body and the bumper. Frank Quote
