keithb7 Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 (edited) Hi folks, with spring around the corner I am getting my rims ready. I picked these up used last fall. I am getting ready to swap my Coker radials on the spoked rims. I ordered new tubes from Coker. They offered some sizes of rim liners, but not for my 15" rim. Is there something I can use to protect the tube, to prevent a tube puncture due to contacting the spoke ends? Is a layer of duct tape adequate? Thanks, Keith. Frank Elder Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 Buy some used inner tubes and cut them to fit and glue them in place. Where.... I have no clue....... I do know they make awesome sand bags for weight in a pickup. 1 Quote
Frank Elder Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 Don't forget to powder your tubes....don't want them to crease or chafe. Quote
DJ194950 Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 It would take a fair amount of work but I have read in the past of others cleaning the spoke area and applying a layer of silicone over the spoke holes. Cheap but time consuming. Just a thought. DJ Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted February 26, 2019 Report Posted February 26, 2019 Maybe here...15" flaps....or use H-Duty tubes https://hancousa.com/storefrontCommerce/attributebrowse.do?selectedAttributeRefinementString=Rim+Size+%3D+'15+Inch'&path=Products%2F%2F%2F%2FInner+Tubes%2F%2F%2F%2FFlaps+%26+O-rings%2F%2F%2F%2FFlaps Quote
