10 Inch Wiper Blades

I had a trick to fit more standard wiper blades onto the hook-end of the wiper arms.  With a hacksaw, I cut a slot across the top of the blade housing, to let the end of the hook protrude.  Here is a crude photo.  To the right is the slot across the top of the housing, with the hooked end of the arm sticking up.  Someday I've got to get clearer photos.

As an FYI, I found new 12" wiper blades that fit great on my '54 Dodge Meadowbrook.  Got them from Napa for $10.49/wipers.  They are aftermarket; however, if your car is a driver it might be a good solution.

I simply bought one 22" blade. I took the original blades apart. You just have to carefully bend one set of tabs in order to slide the insert out. I reused the metal supports from the original blades and cut the new blade to fit. Slide it all back together, carefully bend the prongs closed and you have two new blades super cheap.
