greg g Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 I know a lot of folks here are fans of the suburban body style. Caught this one during a prelude event to the Syracuse Nationals. Can't like it. Looks like a Dodge Magnum precursor. Quote
62rebelP23 Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 too much chop... wrong car to chop anyway; should've sectioned it too, but not easy to make come out right on MoPars. IMHO, should've left it stock height. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Looks like that thing ran under a semi trailer and got cut off. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 If you gonna paint all the brite work...paint them awful hubcaps also...am not fond of body painted trim and bumpers...no matter what the car... Quote
Don Coatney Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 If you gonna paint all the brite work...paint them awful hubcaps also...am not fond of body painted trim and bumpers...no matter what the car... Hells bells paint the tires too! Quote
JerseyHarold Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Why do people keep butchering my beloved P23's????? Quote
Olddaddy Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Man, that is really grim.......all that time, effort, and money to end up with that! Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 As mentioned, I don't like that wagon either. Primarily because of the chopped top. As for the paint, I think that's ok. I don't have a problem with painted grills, bumpers and trim. Hit the street rod circuit and you'll see a lot of them painted that way, and IMHO I think they look neat either way. Sometimes better than with the bright work. The chopped top is what messed this car up. That and they didn't french the headlights right. Not wild about that color either. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Norm..I don't mind painted..with the price of chrome that is one of the main reason it gets painted this way..but I still like contrasting colors..need to break it up some..that is one of the lost features of the new car with aero styling and no metal bumpers. Dinosaurs still roam the earth..I be one... Quote
Normspeed Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Same thought I had. That rear fender line just looks wrong with that much chop. Messed up a neat old car. Man, that is really grim.......all that time, effort, and money to end up with that! Quote
