casper50
Recieved my new carbs and linkage mounted on my Offenhauser intake from George Ashe today. Looks really nice and the new linkage looks great. Not Mickey Mouse like the stuff Offenhauser sent with the intake. I've only have 5 minutes to look at it as I have an appointment. If anyone else is using the Offy intake with George's linkage I'd appreciate a photo of your linkage from the top of the engine to the carb linkage. The linkage from George needs a push toward the carbs to squirt gas, my accelerator linkage moves towards the head. Linkage sets to low to move the swivel arm from the top to the bottom of the steel bar. Help appreciated. Will take a photo or two when I get back. casper50
George cleared this up for me. Dummy me thought that when the carbs were at rest with nothing hooked up, that position was idle. George says that's wide open. I have to manually push it the other way and then connect the linkage. dezeldoc
I am just running two stock B&B on mine and it runs great. Always thought the 2bbl would be to much fuel for them.

Is that specific enough No YOUNG Ed, The Escort was made for the American market for 23-years and 12-years in Germany before that. It's possible that Ford use more than one carburetor in 23-years. DJ194950
http://www.langdonsstovebolt.com/store/#!/Carter-Weber-Carburetor-With-choke-pigtails/p/1222026/category=18665964 What Langdons uses on 23" and 25" Mopar flathead 6 cyl. $95 each new. Seems like a reasonable price to me. I have no personal experience or ties to them, but I would use their setup or George Ashe's if my checkbook could stand the shock!
