1940plymouth Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Tomorrow I am driving the Plymouth via Peekamoose to the Ashokan Res to meet up with a friend and his 1949 Plymouth to take some photos at the aerator, and hopefully other various spots along the reservoir that show the mountains. There is a 1950's style diner on Rt 28 on the left headed towards Big Indian. Do you remember the name of the diner and approx. how far past the reservoir the diner is? thanks Bob Quote
1940plymouth Posted September 23, 2016 Author Report Posted September 23, 2016 (edited) I was able to answer my own question, it is the Phoenicia Diner Edited January 8, 2018 by 1940plymouth delete topic 1 Quote
BigDaddyO Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 (edited) That's a really good diner. Last time I was there so were several high end Porsches and a Ferrari. I would post a picture of it but it seems the picture is bigger than 3mb, whatever that means. I wonder how many mb's my pictures are? Edited September 24, 2016 by BigDaddyO Quote
BigDaddyO Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 (edited) If I knew what time you would be around I could meet you somewhere. I found out my pic was 3.7mb. I cropped it and now it's 2.1 mb. And it worked. Edited September 24, 2016 by BigDaddyO 1 Quote

1940plymouth Posted September 24, 2016 Author Report Posted September 24, 2016 (edited) We ended up not going to the diner, but we did meet at the fountain, but to our dismay, it had been shut off this past week Edited January 8, 2018 by 1940plymouth delete topic 1 Quote
BigDaddyO Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 Hey, now there's a crew. Yeah, they turn that thing on and off with no rhyme or reason. 1 Quote

1940plymouth Posted September 25, 2016 Author Report Posted September 25, 2016 While we were at the fountain yesterday there were all sorts of sirens, police cars, fire trucks and even a helicopter. We heard that there was a MVA involving a car-motorcycle, did you hear about it? I wonder how the Motorcycle driver is? Quote

1940plymouth Posted October 24, 2016 Author Report Posted October 24, 2016 BigDaddyO, Did you know there also is a coved bridge in Hamden, just below Delhi? Before the weather changes much more, you may want to take a ride to see it with your bike. I would post a few photos, but my allotment of photos is used up on this forum. 1 Quote

No I didn't know that. I actually drove to Hamden and turned around to go back thru Delhi and on to Stamford then to Grand Gorge to Hunter down Rt23a into Saugerties and 212 into Woodstock. Fun ride. 1 Quote
