do to lack of trim and other features such as would be on the nose...am saying a 56, specific model would be denoted by the trim level not apparent in this state of disassembly, well at least not to me...

I'm pretty sure that's a 1955 Packard Clipper.

 

I still have the ship's wheel grille ornament from one somewhere.

 

1956 has different rear window molding, which is about the only molding left there.

Its a shame what shows up in those u pull yards sometimes. I was just looking online at one here and saw they have a 50 and 51 Hudson.
