Just picked up a 48 Desoto sedan.  I'm sure it will need a complete brake overhaul.  Since I just converted my 49 p17 Business coupe to disc brakes  can I use the drums, shoes and cylinders?

Plymouth brakes are 10"....DeSoto are 11" unless you want to down size.

Yep^^^^^^^^^...5 X 5 are the big drum hubs and bolt pattern..Chrysler NY and Saratoga, Std Imperials too

.Non of these will fit the DeSoto's except if it's a LWB Limo or 7 passenger car.

Both very rare.

That's what I thought 11 vs 10   If you went to the 10  would it be just switch over the backing plate, adjusters, shoes  and perhaps the bearings?   Are the spindles the same?

Swap out just the backing plates and drums.

But why do that... won't stop as well.
