I'm tentatively planning on it.  Not sure about Friday night, but planning on coming up there on Saturday.

So I've never done a WPC meet before.  If I do drive the Plymouth up there for Friday night and the Saturday show, what does it cost just to show on Saturday?

I'm not interested in judging or anything, just hanging out and displaying for a while.

I participated in the WPC even in Vermont without being a member.  Nobody asked, I didn't tell.  Many of the events are pay to play separately like tours, museums and meals.  check out the web site and see if they are charging per activity.  I have never seen a car group not accept money.  Well Except for the Plymouth Owners Club in Maryland.

General Registration fee is 40 bucks, It says there is a late fee of 15 bucks for member registrations received after a date in July.  This was the same language used in Vermont.  When the person at the registration table tried to collect the extra 15 bucks, I pointed out that the printed material said the late fee was for members, and I wasn't a member.  When she said I couldn't register I asked her where it said in the printed details that you needed to be a member to participate?  She couldn't find anything.  I put 2 twenties on the table, which she picked up without a further word, and began to fill out my show entry card.  All the other tours etc are pay to play. I chose not to participate.  Banquet prices are a bit steep so I eschewed that also.  Judging is by participant's vote.

Join our little group of iconoclasts and have a good time.  We apologize in advance to any one who might be offended by our behavior........

I renewed my WPC membership, and registered my 47 P15.  I am planning a sight seeing tour from St Louis to Springfield Friday Morning, hope to be at the host hotel by midafternoon Friday.  When I registered at the hotel they already had 70 room reservations, when you add in those attending for the day, should be a pretty good turnout.  Greg G and I will be hosting a Friday night parking lot event.  Hope to meet a few new MOPAR fans.

Well I've made plans to head up there Friday after lunch, if the work schedule permits.  The plan is to bring the Plymouth and enjoy the Friday night festivities in the parking lot.  Then come back as a spectator on Saturday and enjoy the show.  Probably head home after lunch on Saturday.  Just booked a hotel room close by.

Looking forward to meeting Mark and Greg on Friday.  Anybody else making the trip?

Might as well bring the car back for the show and register it.  The WPC events are participant judged, and no body gets bentoout of shape if you car is less than perfect.  They appreciate them being there without regard to appearence.  Glad you are able to attend.

Well I went ahead and pre-registered for the meet.  I figured if I'm driving up there might as well participate and stay a while.

So what shall I bring for the Friday night parking lot party?

So what are the rest of you bringing? I've got a small weber charcoal grille to do brats and hot dogs, but not sure if the hotel would frown on that or not.

I thnink I was the only guy in vermont not to get an award... even the guy driving the 2002 dodge caravan got one.

theres no accounting for individual tastes...

But the trip was worth the company.

Lookat those plymouths go!

One week away. Hope it isn't as hot next weekend as it is right now. I went out to replace the front vent window seals in the Plymouth and probably lost 5lbs in sweat. Gotta give it a bath tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

Well I got back from Springfield yesterday late afternoon.  3 hour trip up and 3 hour trip back.  No issues with the car, it ran great.  It did start to get pretty warm in the car about the last 40 miles or so.  Especially when that sun peeked out of the clouds.  We only got rained on before the show on Saturday, so all in all a great weekend.

I got to meet Greg G and his wife Kathy, Bob and Wanda VanBushirk, Mark A, and others.  All of them are great people and made the trip well worth it.  I got several pictures and will post them here for all of you to enjoy.

It is a pleasure to meet members of the forum in person.  Everyone I have met off of here are great people to be around.  Always fun to compare notes and old mopar stories.

There were about 75-80 cars there on Saturday, plenty of eye candy to enjoy.

Hey did a know Steve's car won the special prize given to the car that best represents the P 15?

No kidding. Mark A was the last recipient in Vermont. So past two winners are forum members. Aren't you glad we twisted your arm a bit to come out?

Congrats!!!

Mark's car took Third in class, following the two Town and County's.
